Good win by the OTH boys, well deserved.

agree!

Yeah agreed too. All this tit for tat rubbish, it has been happening for years between all sorts of clubs, makes for good rivalries. As far as I'm concerned, as long as it's kept on the pitch and everyone can have a beer afterwards it's all good. Obviously no personal sledges.

It was a great game, more like an arm wrestle. To be honest, once McNair, Neill and yourself was out, I thought we definitely had the upper edge. Some great lower order batting got you over the line. Well done, all the best for the finals. It would be nice to play you guys again and hopefully turn the tables ;) I was shattered on Sat night, never been involved in a game so close.

Haha, it was a great game, it always is a good close game against Brahma Lodge and yes there is a rivalry between the 2 teams. The rivalry is good for the spectators, good for para districts and good for cricket in general. I dont know about 6 or 7 years ago but games between Brahma and OTH have always been played in good spirit.

There is no point bringing up absolute irrelevant rubbish in here like the score checks and square leg umpire passing the score to the 2 batsmen out in the middle. The score checks were being asked by both teams, not just OTH. Besides its the umpires job to sort that out and he did.

As for Brahma being told to sit over in the shade on the other corner of the oval. Every para districts team in all grades for over 10 years has sat where we pointed out to you. The benches under the trees near the club room is where our supporters and families sit and always have, its the so called "members area"

The comment "source" made about OTH's sportsmanship being on par with Virginia must have obviously been said when emotions were still running high from a close loss and needed somewhere to lash out. Fair enough 1 or 2 members from our crowed yelled out 1 or 2 comments in the final 15 mins of the game but for that to warrant us being as low as Virginia is just a whinge i think. All supporters are going to get involved at any close sporting event and its not like it was just our supporters yelling out.

All us boys at OTH get on with Brahma Lodge very well and i think we showed that by 5 or 6 of us all hanging round for 3 or 4 beers after the one dayer earlier in the year. Dont try and ruin clubs reputations on such little things. Besides OTH have won the Para Districts fair play or sportsmanship award last year and in recent years.

and thats all i have to say about that (Forrest Gump)

Since when were Virginia's sportsmanships ever questioned? Are they really the worst team? Pretty sure they won the spirit award once in the last 2 years so id probably take a comment like "your teams attitude is on par with Virginia" as a compliment

Even if we still beat Rosies you may still end up 4th, how good is this last round panning out!!!

Agree with your first sentence, great game, great atmosphere.

I can see the finals being:

SW vs OTH

BL vs R&C (either order)

However, if OTH can beat SW next match, either BL and R&C can still finish 4th. Such a big game for R&C and the Lodge.

So there's still the big relegation battle going on, thought it would be out of ATCO and Virginia but looks like it will be out of ATCO and Angle Vale. However, that means ATCO must reverse 2 outrights and beat Virginia. Can't see it happening.

Sorry Fanta but I have played at OTH as a visitor over a long period and have always sat on those benches under the trees.
As a rule use to sit in close proximity to the scorers at all grounds except Salisbury West.

I'd hardly call it a big relegation battle mate, ATCO would have to beat Virginia outright to leapfrog Angle Vale who play Salisbury North.

If we win outright and AV win then Virginia go down, but cant see anyone but us going down at this stage

Looking at this years and last years ladder positions I would have to congratulate Rose and Crown on going from the relegation zone at seasons end last year to making finals this year. Defenately the most improved side in grade 1 this year, good to see some teams can really get their act together and improve like they have.

If the bookies had a book it would look something like this:
Team to get relegated from Div 1:
ATCO 1/1000
Virginia 100/1
AV 250/1

have played at OTH on a number of times and have always sat near the play ground... plenty of shade and plenty of room, if there is any home advantage it should be that the home team sits in its own spot all the time, and not have smartarses try and take it over...
I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

There is plenty of room in that area though, but I tend to agree with you, it's not a bad spot near the playground besides being pretty far away. The swings could do with some oiling though LOL.

I dont know why this is an issue. We were asked to move and did. We had always sat in the other spot but a change is as good as a holiday.
