Hardly a surprise I would've thought.

Why?

Agreed, what a total balls up!!!
2 gates open and 6 scanners working....with 45,000 people.

Absolute debarcle!!!!

This would never have happened at Etihad, ANZ statium......what a joke!!

Anyway, show was unbeleivable though!!! (when u got in) ;)

Is that relevant as to whether it could handle AFL footy? It just sounds like it wasn't prepared, security staff and gate people wise, to deal with the crowd.

Extremely relevent as they can't even handle SANFL footy let alone AFL footy. Absolute joke of a place.

If anyone agrees you can more than triple your money by betting on them - they are currently paying $3.60 to win the election.

Labor is $1.27.

I voted Labor once, it was 1983 for Bob Hawke. Never felt the need to "chicken out" since

What is his reasoning Psyber?
It was based on polls done by the Labor party and the trends showing over the last few weeks.
He also believes Rann's handling of the Chantelois issue, not the issue itself, has damaged his credibility with enough of the electorate.
Not that it was that big by itself, but that it had impact coming on top of other issues.

I have to admit I did twice - 1972 and 1974.
I thought about doing so again more recently, when getting disenchanted with John Howard in 2003.
But that was aborted by the advent of "Mad Mark" Latham to the leadership.

I was only 17 in 1972, but I would have voted for Whitlam on the issue of Vietnam and conscription if I could have. In 1974 I voted Liberal federally for the first time, it was becoming clear that the Whitlam government despite good intentions had no idea on the economy.
