Creating a nice little list out at Tailem... recruited a forward from Wudina, a Sturt U19's star Winra, dual Mail Medalist and SANFL star Matt Cooper, Mitch Vickers back, Michael Sumner is likely to stay an Eagle... and blokes like Hogarth and Gabb who have been top tier players at their club for a couple season, and represented the league. Tailem have some very handy players running around.

I think that whilst the top 3 may be hard to crack, they could definately be in the mix for 3rd with Ramblers and Meningie... and not as far off the mix as I once thought.

Drama one problem who is going to kick over 40 goals for the year??. Has not happen for a while now, they will win plenty of the footy but burn it far to often. Need a big signing up forward or will struggle to kick a winning score.

Yeah, the bloke from Wudinna is a forward, and Winra is a tall too.

Laurie Rankine kicked 35 plus goals last year, being played way out of position to make way for Comer. So if he gets going he could be a big scorer.

Would be Rowan Jacobs ex Wudinna and Western Districts, both in the Mid West League on Eyre Peninsula. Played full fwd and has played in that position at Assoc level whenever their regular full fwd was unavailable. Will be a handy inclusion to your A grade. Bit of a roo dog in terms of build.

Last season had some very good games in the A grade side and this season will develop into a seroius player.. what do you guys think of the young lad?? also Tom Kluske will also be one to watch this year as he played some senior footy last year and showed he could cope well at that level... .

Lets hope that Robinson stays at sturt where he will get the right development and not turn into 1 of RAY BILLINGS robots . that cant drink, cant think , cant eat ,cant do anything unless its stuctured the way BILLINGS wants it .

Not a fan FIL & Sugar?

lets hope so cause he is important part of the future.. Ray must make sure he doesn't try to control these young lads to much or they might walk away and the club will have no one... it will be interesting to see how the players respond to Ray as coach has had fair amount of expierence coaching RMFL and also jobs down at sturt..

Interesting write up about Tailem in the Standard today! Seems they are using the old "Youth Policy" chessnut.

Smart- because if they go well, they can say "hey we performed above expectations" & if they go Sh!t its "We played alot of young guys this year, & the club will be better for it"

All the pressure is off, both a young LOCAL list & the new coach. Well done Todd!!!

He did have a little dig at their previous Recruits aswell with the term, "Take their money & Run" being used WOW

Just speaking with a local Murray Bridge businessman who tells me the presidents of the RMFL clubs are not happy with the setup of the CFB.
All I can say is, if you're not happy then do something about it other than talk amongst yourselves.
Peter Dalwood represents the clubs in your league, give him a firm direction to take to Glen Rosser & David Shipway stating what this has the potential to destroy in local support and sponsorship, after all, he's a paid employee of clubs in the RMFL, not the CFB or SANFL .So unless he's been seduced by them as a lot of league secretaries have, it's part of his job description to lobby either for or against ideas/changes on behalf of your league if clubs ask to do just that.
