Good win by the OTH boys, well deserved.
agree!
Yeah agreed too. All this tit for tat rubbish, it has been happening for years between all sorts of clubs, makes for good rivalries. As far as I'm concerned, as long as it's kept on the pitch and everyone can have a beer afterwards it's all good. Obviously no personal sledges.
It was a great game, more like an arm wrestle. To be honest, once McNair, Neill and yourself was out, I thought we definitely had the upper edge. Some great lower order batting got you over the line. Well done, all the best for the finals. It would be nice to play you guys again and hopefully turn the tablesI was shattered on Sat night, never been involved in a game so close.

Haha, it was a great game, it always is a good close game against Brahma Lodge and yes there is a rivalry between the 2 teams. The rivalry is good for the spectators, good for para districts and good for cricket in general. I dont know about 6 or 7 years ago but games between Brahma and OTH have always been played in good spirit.
There is no point bringing up absolute irrelevant rubbish in here like the score checks and square leg umpire passing the score to the 2 batsmen out in the middle. The score checks were being asked by both teams, not just OTH. Besides its the umpires job to sort that out and he did.
As for Brahma being told to sit over in the shade on the other corner of the oval. Every para districts team in all grades for over 10 years has sat where we pointed out to you. The benches under the trees near the club room is where our supporters and families sit and always have, its the so called "members area"
The comment "source" made about OTH's sportsmanship being on par with Virginia must have obviously been said when emotions were still running high from a close loss and needed somewhere to lash out. Fair enough 1 or 2 members from our crowed yelled out 1 or 2 comments in the final 15 mins of the game but for that to warrant us being as low as Virginia is just a whinge i think. All supporters are going to get involved at any close sporting event and its not like it was just our supporters yelling out.
All us boys at OTH get on with Brahma Lodge very well and i think we showed that by 5 or 6 of us all hanging round for 3 or 4 beers after the one dayer earlier in the year. Dont try and ruin clubs reputations on such little things. Besides OTH have won the Para Districts fair play or sportsmanship award last year and in recent years.
and thats all i have to say about that (Forrest Gump)

Honestly mate, you can't go telling people where they can or can't sit, generally speaking, our supporters and players sit under the verandah at Smithfield Oval but there are clubs from time to time that sit there with us, there is no way in the world we would tell them to move.

I think you will have basically no chance of telling The Lodge crowd to move if we happen to play you guys in a final - should make for some fun when asked - I have played against OTH for over 20 years and I can tell you that I have always sat and parked the car under the trees there - I have never been banished to the other side of the oval
But like I said should be fun for the next time
