It wasn't that loud, I used to be a lot more deaf after Angels concerts but that was indoors.

Wasn't as loud as I expected either, although was in the Chappell Stand. Thought the ears would be ringing this morning, no such luck ;)

Fantastic concert though, well worth it. Brilliant stage show throughout, good to see so many females getting into the spirit of it all during "The Jack" (those that were there will know exactly what I mean :) ).

Little surprised that a few of the big ones were missed....expected "Its A Long Way To The Top" as a closer, but didnt play it at all, nor "Jailbreak" (wondered if this had something to do with Bon Scott, as its the first time I've seen them live so not sure), "Who Made Who", "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", but I guess with so many, a few will be missed.

Anyone expecting the crowd to be hard to control would have been disappointed, great behaviour throughout by the looks.

Awesome show, one of the best I've seen.

Heard it loud and clear at Walkerville, even the singing, damn base though, couple of songs had the shutters rumbling, sounded great though

Adelaide Oval showed yet again why it should NEVER host AFL games, complete incompetence, not that it helped having Weslo run security.
2 gates to get 40k in, they realised just in time that they'd have to open up some more before a riot broke out.
I just hope and pray that the Libs get in.

They didn't miss too many big ones CK considering it was a tour to conicide with their latest album which wasn't a Best Of.
The Jack, Whole Lotta Rosie, Back in Black, Thunderstruck, High Voltage, Let There Be Rock, Shook Me All Night Long, Dirty Deeds, Hells Bells, For Those About To Rock all c ome to mind.
Id imagine Long Way To the Top would be a logistical nightmare with bagpipes and how hard it is to time them right with guitars.

How good was the opening? :D

PS Not enough women got into the "spirit" of The Jack if you know what I mean but I do thank those that did. ;)

We went in through the Memorial Drive gate, was that the only other gate open than the Victor Richardson? I know the Northern End gate would be shut because of the redevelopment, that might have impacted on it and to be honest from when I crossed the Torrens to when I got in the gate would have been 40 minutes. Not too bad I would have thought.Another 20 minutes after entry I'd had a beer and a leak, pretty well organised IMO.

Drinks were easy to get, 5 times easier than at Pearl Jam. No line ups for a leak and well behaved crowd, I have nothing to complain about.

The show was awesome and as mentioned not as loud as I thought it would have been. Neck is a bit sore this morning and the head a bit heavy but no ringing ears.

Hells Bells and Thunderstruck the highlights for me and yes CK, we had several ladies near us get in the spirit during The Jack....

Great close-ups of Angus during his big lead break demonstrating why Eric Clapton thinks Angus is the best guitarist of all time and why the band has been so good for so long. Each lead break in each song as near as damn it to the album version.

Great show...

We didn't even consider getting a drink on the Oval (North side), Weslo let mindead people block the only entrance/exit. It was a ******* schmozzle.
Ive been in similar crowds at the Melbourne Showgrounds and Footy Park and last night's was so far behind them it wasn't funny, I'd hate to think of how the place would stuff up on AFL footy and that's assuming the cricket and footy people could ever agree on anything which I'd doubt.
No security on the oval anywhere near us too. Oh and well done to the Weslo knobhead that decided to approach the oval the wrong way through the exitting crowd, I hope he lived.
For those not there they actually had a huge fenced off area outside the Victor Richardson so you didn't enter at the gates but quite a bit of a way out, there was absolutely no excuse for only have 2 gates open!
Agree about Angus's guitar work, amazing, not suprised with the amount of time he spent practising as a kid, I'd put him up there with Neil Young.
Geez my feet are sore today, the traffic was insance that I got from Currie St to Tynte St at 4m twice as quick as any car, then to Adelaide Oval, then all that standing, then back to Town, very handy having a Dad driving a cab I could get straight into! Im getting old (and heavy) :D
A nice peaceful day planned at home today! ;)

Peaceful day indeed, still had to get Boon Junior X2 off to school so still had an early start.

Behind the Clem Hill Stand ( Southern Hill ) was a bar with about 12 or 14 taps so at worst the line up was maybe 3 deep in spots, perhaps 10 minutes my longest wait for a beer and the bar at the bottom of The Bradman Stand was open, just as Wolfmother left the stage I went in there and walked right up to the bar! No line up...

The toilets in the Clem Hill Stand had free spots each time I walked in, no problems at all.

Southern Hill sounds like it was the spot to be.

Yeah, being on the oval obviously had further issues to get out and back with a very small gate which was blocked to manouver through.
I am glad I wasn't on a hill though as my lower back kills me when standing on a sloping hill for a while, it was bad enough the way my feet ached!
We caught up at the Daniel O'Connell hotel on Tynte St for pre show drinks and food, bloody good pub and I'd recommendd it to anyone, great meals and great ambiance. Great beer garden out the back too.

I got told they had to lower it from 140DB to 100DB because of complaints, was up the front to the right of stage and have to say that it was an awesome concert! Not many women got into the spirit with "The Jack" but i was thankful i was only about 5 metres away from 1 of the ones that did haha!

I've watched a few clips on Youtube of The Jack at the Sydney show, atleast our girls let them out, did'nt see any at Sydney!

Best show i've ever been to :supz: , and i've been to a few good ones of late. I was pretty impressed with how it was organised, way better than Pearl jam. Must admit though the ears were ringing a bit more from Pearlys!!

Good to hear it was excellent, but i heard on the news they had to lower the noise level due to complaints from previous concerts.
Probably why it wasn't as loud as usual.

Enjoyed the concert immensely. Am another one who thought the volume could've been louder, but then again the missus whilst at home at Lockleys could hear it easily.

Some great titties for the Jack, and Shook Me :D . Boo to the chicks who didn't get 'em out. Had a few on the hill (Northern End) get 'em out even though they had no chance of getting n the screen LOL.

We rocked up at 7, and the queue's on the Northern end were absolutely insane. Long and about 6 people wide, and there were 4 of 'em !

Luckily we "knew" someone in line and jumped in, and it took us only 60 minutes to get in. Had a mate who lined up properly and he missed the first 6 songs....

Once in though got beers and the toilets were no problem under the scoreboard. Adelaide Oval though is in a bottleneck place and they'll have to do some serious traffic planning to even think about catering for 40k every fortnight.....

They've never done "It's a long way to the top" since Bon died. There was a rumour they were`going to do it in Melbourne as when they were here it was the week of the annivesary of the making of the clip in 1976 (which was made on the streets of Melbourne) and the death of Bon in 1980...but no.

Agreed, seeing 40k people walk onto the streets afterward defenately held up traffic for quite some time

I think I read somewhere that they do it in Perth as that is where Bon Scott's mum lives and they always take her to the concerts. Although, I dont think she is going this year because she is not well.
