This seems to me to say that if they are from say a Div 1 club (category One league) they are worth 3 additional points, + 1 more if they played a majority of A Grade . However, largely irrelevant given it's a 3 year trial.
Cat D is for all SAAFL to SAAFL clearances so you then ignore A - C - you need to read it in conjuction with the opening statement that all players have a point allocation of zero - so if you are then a Cat D you add one point - therefore all SAAFL to SAAFL are 1 pointers

So if the logic is div 1 players are only 1 point and players from Barossa are 3 points. I can see some lower clubs paying massive $$$$$$$$ to div 1 players.
Please name some lower clubs that can afford massive $$$$ Loveto
