For anyone to post that Willunga wont finish top after the minor round have to be kiddinghemselves dont they?? Dont worry i know im in a minority group that is happy for them to keep winning premierships if my club isn't.

Think you know exactly who im talking about WOW, dont be playing silly buggers!! Wont be saying the players name cos he is a good friend of mine but am pretty sure he may be signing today. Sure he will give the mudlark supporters a few good highlights during 2010. With the players Myponga have recruited and got back i dont think they will be finishing bottom. Will surprise teams this coming season.

Would like to see him back but his shoulder might see him miss most of 2010. Maybe the witch doctor down at Kingston might be able to rub some of that magic crayfish on it to make it heal quicker

Correct, however they come as a package so not all doom and gloom. I am told he hadn't been seen around the club since GF night, may have not even shown up for the premiership photo? Short term gain, long term pain comes to mind with Sampson's current mindset. He may not be done yet either?

I understand there are some older past players at emuland who are bitterly disappointed with the actions of sampson, a so called former emu, targetting their players. I know they were worried about the same thing when Hill left to coach Mclaren, but he promised not to actively pursue any emus and gained huge respect for this. Same cant be said for its former junior, who probably wont be welcome back for a beer anytime soon.

Wouldnt every player that they have signed for this year be regarded as current...?

They have signed 3 M/Vale players so far.

A few clubs out there would have three or so ex M Vale players playing, massive club. I know Sampson was a junior there, but he wouldn't have had to much to do with M Vale over the last few years would he?

Not that i know of. His brother still plays there but that would be about it. Think there are a few at M/Vale tho who would are disappointed as they feel he seems to be focusing on throwing cash at emus when he theoretically should have connections to a stack of players throughout the South thanks to his time at the Panthers.

Could be that or it could be that these 3 would be getting at least 10 times the amount they would at the emus in 2010.

I think what you meant to say limb was that the reason morphett vale is such a great club is because when they lose these quality players they still have their fair share of success.

My last comment wasn't intended to sound derogatory towards Morphett Vale FC.. I just think its strange that players at strong clubs would want to leave to go to another club that's in a rebuilding phase. Obviously money talks but there are plenty of quality players at country clubs around the state that have knocked back big offers throughout their careers to stay loyal to their home club.

Limb, draw the dots -

1 player was semi retired and was offered a large amount of $$$ to play and an assistant coaching role. Big $$$ in comparison to his earning capabilities when he was in his prime.
1 player has self doubt issues about where he would fit into the wealth of talent the Emu's have in the on ball brigade and is now playing for 500% more in his pay packet. A First pick A grader in my opinion tho
1 player was a lucky selection in the GF side and since that day has not been seen around the club.

Thankfully the Emu's have been able to hang onto their "blue chip" players, this core group of players have had MASSIVE offers thrown at them however choose to stay for the good times, they certainly respect what the club has provided them and this is a way of paying it back. Sure as a player im a little pissed that my own team mates would do this but as a club we are 100%fine and look forward to the up coming season.
