An outright would've pretty much secured your finals spot, I too was very surprised to see that you kept batting to get to 442. Angle Vale won outright to snare 2nd spot.

Yeah, but we are a loony lot, gives the game a fair bit to play for now. Looking forward to it.

That you are LOL, I'd say that you guys would be favourites though anyway, it's going to take a couple of players to step up with a big score to get over the line for us. You seem to have the experience and batting list to do the job.

I dare say that the batsman should know where the team is at score wise as there is a break every 20 overs and they can call for a drink at any time, im sure if they are having problems with that the club could invest in a make shift scoreboard as some other clubs have done.

Dude.....square leg gives them the drink???...I see where ur coming from, however, seems rather irrelevant. Do u wonna be our make shift score board groover? ;) no batsman knows what the score is after 20 overs??? be realistic.

Hey fanta, what did you guys think of the T20 comp, they seemed to enjoy themselves and you seemed to make a bit of coin when you hosted it.

So the proposal of revamping the comp with 6 teams per grade to even the teams from top to bottom, is this still being bandied around?

I couldnt do it as i have a match that day, but im sure with the amount of time you have been spending on the sidelines while your team has been batting this year you would have no trouble holding it up :D

Keylock and Trowbridge are very handy with the bat, Walks can bowl all day and tidily, Hillier can be a useful bowler aswell. I just think our batting line-up can be a little fragile.

I just think our batting line-up can be a little fragile

Have to say I agree... but it can also hurt you very quickly if you don't bowl and field well. Don't think the top order will collapse two matches in a row though and I would expect CU to find the bowling to be much better than Wasleys.

perhaps the 20K paid to lose a grade 1 GF a few years ago wouldve been better spent on a Score Board then ;)

We had 5 out from our A's and B's on the weekend, 4 of them are batsmen, I'm not sure how many will return this week.

LM - I drove past yesterday and saw what looked like middle practice going on at your oval. A couple of weeks ago I saw them practicing out there with the bowling machine. Do you have a keen group that trains on sundays?

Last Sunday our women's team wanted to have a lengthy hit with the machine, some blokes when down there for a hit once they'd finished. Yesterday there was a under 15 & 16 players vs parents game. We do have players get the machine out at spasmodic times, Raed had a hit with a few blokes Friday week ago and the machine and knocked up a double-hundred the next day, so it's getting popular.
