Gepps vs Salisbury North is always a good physical game but it's been a bit quiet recently on the ins & outs front from the Hawks nest?? Tough test for Broadies & PNU first games for the year back in D1 & i think there could be some very one sided scoring in the other 2 games. I would love to see a GF replay round 1 each year, has SAAFL ever considered it or is the draw always done at random??

Most years have seen a GF replay round 1. Last year Salisbury North played Goodwood under lights at Goodwood with fantastic atmosphere and a very physical game. If this draw goes ahead, it will be a little disappointing - nothing like some big rivalries/blockbusters to get everyone fired up about the start of a new season.
Always plenty of rivalry and spirit at games between Gepps Cross & Salisbury North and has been since the 2002 GF.
Don't miss it because every time they play, it's a blockbuster for bragging rights until the next time. Be there!
Been a while since the Gepps boys have had those rights hey Ace.. 2002 i reckon. a long time between drinks. Doesnt seem to matter where the teams are positioned on the ladder. Hawks just seem to have to have the wood on ya (trial games excused). Most of the departed key players from Gepps would be the only ones that know how the rivalry goes. Not many left from 2002. :D
Ace, that seems a bit harsh. any reason given? better to have someone who knows what's going on commenting than letting the usual bulldust go by without reply.
Winger, you are right in saying that SN have the wood over GX since 02, if it was cricket, GX would be the biggest "bunny" since Bugs
maybe gepps should play with 17 on the field after 1/2 time against you blokes :)

You give someone some power and it just goes to their head.
Not too many there that have ever finished off a job yet, at least not all that well anyway!;)

Had to edit this because there's a "squealer" in the camp who runs off telling tales!

 yeah you're not wrong there mate.
he'll definitely be handy for us all over the ground though.
you'll find that Kock prob won't play at all this year. 3 kids now, so he's definetely got his hands full.
all the boys are glad on that one though as they'll all get a bit of lost confidence back when they're in the showers that's for sure!

BOP you would have found a lot of confidence was restored when both yourself and big Kevy left. The rest of us stopped driving home straight after training.....

What are peoples thoughts on the interim draw for the Anzac Day weekend?? Gepps vs Gaza & TTG vs Salisbury North I would have thought would be better games & better played on the Sunday than say the Goodwood vs SHOC & Henley vs Pt Districts games, unless there is some fierce rivalries between these sides?? From all reports about Port Districts they have about as much chance at beating Henley as our troops did when they landed at Gallipoli - not much of a spectacle on a day we remember our fallen fathers!!!

Pt Districts are Henleys bogie side (with Gepps), and what better day for an underdog to perform? But otherwise agreed. But then I am still pondering why no grand final replay round 1?

Let the other D1 Clubs have their say first and perhaps you will get an idea. Was never much fun in Finals with some of the decisions we got lets put it that way. Maybe one club got the worst end of it more than once
