You don't have to do it, under the SafeWork SA 2005 legislation the changes to the 1986 OHS&W Act is that employers must provide access to HSRs and give them the time off to do it. The HSRs don't have to do it.

Thiele with your new found knowledge check the OHS&W Act and 1995 OH&S Regulations to see if I'm right.

In Victoria, employers havee to provide it if requested by HSRs. The only training that is stipulated in the Act is responsible officer training IIRC.

FWIW though I would encourage all HSRs to get some basic training.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

mixed netball = bloodsport. Having watched Mrs Pseudo play it years previously, I would NEVER step onto the court myself.

I played a few seasons and it's brutal, and the girls are probably worse than the blokes!

Mind you I accidentally pole-axed a girl one game, was looking over my shoulder while running up the court after a turnover and ran into her at full tilt. Worst feeling ever.

Played 2 seasons. We had 3 guys that all play footy...and play netball as if its footy...which made it a bit more interesting...especially when we played the bitchy teams...but lots of fun when we played the other couple of teams made up by footballers...one (hot) girl was pushing right up against my back...i didnt mind...then the cracker kneed me in arse...funny as...

My other half played mixed netball for a season or two - used to come home with shocking cuts and bruises.
