Watson man of the match 57 not out + 2/11
Personally I would have given it to Bracken, WI were o/50 of about 5 overs
and he bowls a spell of 6 overs 3/22 and got Gayle out.
Lara needs to retire after the world cup in the West Indies 2007.
The reason he wants to bat at 6 is for obvious reasons, hes too old and cant see the ball as well anymore.

It was less than 12 months ago he played the best innings I've ever seen (double hundred at Adel Oval). I think he will retire after the World Cup, but if he wanted to go further I'm sure he'd be good enough.

The problem with LARA is he can still come out and play a brilliant innings, but
he is failing too often these days.
For every great innings there are a few failures, last night an example, they
needed a contribution but he sadly didnt produce.
He is at wars with his footwork and high backlift which didnt matter at his peak but
is now a genuine concern.
I hope Im wrong as when he is firing he is a delight to watch.

Elliott, Lara and Mal have all sadly demised in old age.

I heard as Lara left the field, unbeaten at the end of the day's play yesterday, he muttered the words "Mal, you were wrong", being just 4 short of another Test double century on top of scoring 60 and 120 in the First Test.
