Yes but I am saying he would dominate section 1. He has made runs at B Grade district level and there is a big difference between B Grade district and section 1.
It is his choice where he wants to play. It is his first season at the club and he came to the club only because he was going to play in the section 4 side where his mate was captain. If he didn't do that he wouldn't be playing cricket at all and I would rather see him playing than not.

Sarge, i do take what you say about Josh Bennett, but seriously saying he has made runs at B grade level is an exaggeration isnt it? 88 runs at 14.7 in B grade and 26 runs at 8.7 in C grade last year.
I do agree someone that makes that many runs in section 4 would more then likely make a fair amount of runs in section 1 aswell.
I still believe it is an issue for Sheidow Park cricket club to resolve and allowing him to dominate section 4 cricket instead of section 1. However, MPCC are in the same boat with Pitt playing C grade along with Steven Thomas now aswell!!!

However, the team that finishes 4th may well approach it as they have nothing to lose and are well and truly a chance to cause an upset, whoever they play!

Any1 who knows Shane knows his body in all sorts of trouble, and at 35 i doubt(but hope) he will ever be able to play 75 over cricket again.
Steven Thomas is on a waiting list for a full shoulder recon and fields with 1 arm. The only reason he is playing is because he has been unable to play any sport for 2 plus years and he is going mad. His wife still may divorce him over it!
Also averages of 44 and 31 is a little different than one of 140.
I do however agree they are both WAY to good to play C grade and when fit will play higher next year or even this year.
For the record both those guys saw Bennett first hand this year and both rate him VERY highly both with the bat and ball.

Yes Bloods, as of last Saturday he had.
The kids are being put up in the same hotel as the Aussie cricketers, with everthing paid for except 2 meals, which knowing Jimmy it will be KFC.
They are also being kept a day later to go and see the T20 at the SCG against the Windies.

I noticed he 55 in the B grade last year out of his 6 hits or however many it was.
Im sure he would do extremely well in section 1, but saying he "has made runs" like you said and saying there is a difference between B grade and section 1, comes across to me that he has made a couple hundreds and scores at B grade district, not just one 50 last year.
Im not sure what he did two years, but it seems that his district results have been talked up a bit!!
Having another quality bat in the Sheidow side this year, would have IMO made them the favourite for the top 4 with 2 games to go. Altho they could still make it with Westminster and Coro to come!

CK, wouldnt playing a b grade semi final at the club that won the club championship speak for itself... you dont have to be a statistician to say the bloke would dominate sec1 asca...
i would actually go as far to say he is the most talented player in asca right now... i dont care that hes only playing sec4, having played cricket with him at Sacred Heart and against him when he was at West Torrens ive been lucky enough to see some of the better knocks, spells and catches i have seen in my time. and the reason why most of you wouldnt have heard of him before is because he only moved to Adelaide when he was 17 from Broken Hill
