I can understand M. Rucci jumping onboard this story, (for a while) as it spreads wider than just a PAMFC, but for all the years he's snubbed any SANFL story and then starts rolling around like a pig in s*#t in this one, and continues to do so is a bit pathetic and hugely smacks of an agenda. Time to leave the whole PAMFC story to the guys with perspective Mr. Rucci, it's no longer the glamour story that is worthy of your journalistic insights or altruistic agendas. Stop hi-jacking the 'Tisers' SANFL journo's stories and get back in your own pen.
'PAFC don't want any advantages in the SANFL. It would only take away from any achievements we earned.'

not fishing at all, i think given the headline it is a reasonable querey, because if a soul is sold earlier how can it be saved later ?

Not sure where to post this request....

Someone mentioned that John Cahill made some rather scathing comments last week about the Power/Magpies:
- Can anybody either direct me to what he said or summarize what he said please?

I think it was on Today Tonight Channel 7. Not so much scathing as sensible (in my view). The gist was that they shouldn't blame others. They should get on with the business of rebuilding the club. They are responsible for their current predicament. He believes the history is with the Magpies not the power (from memory). That some of the current situation may have been inflamed by Port doing the wrong thing with their AFL entry process.
I'd like to see it again. As I said the above is only from memory. But I thought it was pretty good what he said. Especially compared to Tredrea, Hodges and Rucci.

Thanks mate - it sounds as though he (Cahill) may have been more objective about it than some others.

Rucci's now a political opinion writer? Real Estate, Footy & now politics, are there any limits to this man's extraordinary talents?

"Rucci demands right not to vote":

I know this isn't the political board so I won't go right into it but we already have the right not to vote.

He's right, stupid people should be exempt from voting.

Well he is referring to Gary Metcalfe - GFC President in that case but I am confused because his "pot shot" ealier this week was at Bugs and his supposed Commission ambitions. Maybe Metcalfe has that ambition too but even if he or both do have that eventual goal there is nothing wrong with that IMO. So if Rucci is taking shots at both the NAFC and GFC Presidents then it appears he is tyring to infer that anyone who is a league director is likely to be "knobbling" or manipulating the voting and being clandestine for their own self agendas!!!

Pity the League Directors can't "knobble" Rucci - that would be another 8-0 decision (not counting Port who would vote for him because they stupidly believe most of his crap!)

Looks like almost 2 months ago you were spot on as usual OTR, Rucci finally came clean in today's paper.

I'm on my phone so can't type out too much but he admitted that it was Glenelg President Gaty Metcalfe that is the most important man going around who can call a BBQ at his place at any time to which the others will attend.
Rucci admits "the Power-Magpies merger - a debate settled more so by Metcalf's lobbying than the much stated obstacle of North Adelaide".
