Why do they only play 2 test matches, I thought 3 would be the norm. And considering that they are sitting 1 and 2 in the rankings you would want to have an extra match.

Fast bowler Charl Langeveldt has been added to South Africa's ODI squad for the three-match series in India. Langeveldt's inclusion adds further strength to a pace attack comprising four specialists - Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Wayne Parnell - and two allrounders - Jacques Kallis and Albie Morkel.

ODI squad: Graeme Smith, Loots Bosman, Johan Botha, Mark Boucher, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Herschelle Gibbs, Jacques Kallis, Charl Langeveldt, Albie Morkel, Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Alviro Petersen, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Roelof van der Merwe.

About 2 seasons ago I claimed that Dale SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSteyn was the most destructive fast bowler in the universe

7/51 in India against this mob is sensational

I believe these are his stats at the minit
193 wickets
s/rate wicket every 39 balls an astonishing s/rate
Great AU quicks Mcgrath + Lillie striked at 52 + in thier careers

If he gets 7 wickets by the end of the next test he will achieve
The 2nd quickest 200 wickets in test history
The quickest fast bowler to do it
Iconic AU spinner Clarrie Grimmett is the quickest

In this day and age Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssteyns efforts are quite possibly the best ever by a fast bowler

KALLIS
Not sure if these stats includes Jaques Kallis 173 in this test
TESTS
10730 runs
55-02 ave
34 x 100

260 wickets
31-38 ave

How good is that for a batting allrounder
To put it in perspective
We can all agree Shane Watson has had a boomer summer
Now if Watto can replicate that for about another 10 years in a row he would as good as Kallis

Kaliis is without doubt the 2nd best batting allrounder I have ever seen
My idol was the best

SOBERS
8032 runs
57-78 ave
26 x 100

235 wickets
34-03 ave

SA are blessed to have in thier current team
SSSSSSSSteyn the best fast bowler in the world
KALLIS the best batting allrounder in the world
DEVILLIERS quite possibly the best fieldsman in the world

what a collapse by south africa

cruising at 3 - 240 odd and to finish where they did really gives india a chance to level the series
