VI 297
TA 262
VI 340
TA 5/207

QUINEY
Pleases me to see Rob Quiney come ourt of a form slump
In the VI 2nd innings of 340
Quiney made 153[212]
He is a great talent, I had expected great things from him, I now hope he reserects his career

COWAN
Earlier this year I denounced the SS TA top 3 as being too slow and not up to it
It also pleases me to now see former New Reb Welshman Ed Cowan making runs
Made a double ton vr SA in the SS
This game
53[108]
108*[221]
Ed is not an enthralling player but is effective as an opener

WRIGHT
Veteran speedSTAR Damien Wright turned back the clock in this match against his old team
3/52[26]
4/42[21]

The Vics continue to win SS games

QL 335
NS 243
QL 252
NS 176

Easy win to the banana benders, great result in an away win
Carseldine and Broad both made tons, both very underated players

S SMITH
0/61 [18]
Then in the 2nd innings at last took wickets
2/25 [2] !!!! in 12 balls !!!
Very good when batters take him on
But needs to find a way to eke out batters in 4 day games
Leggies take time to develope, so he needs to be perservered with

LUKE FELDMAN
Have not seen him
But had a very good game
26[29]
4/49 [16.2]
24 [22]
5/32[17]
The production line of fast bowlers in QL continues, amazing how often they produce new quicks that perform so well
Batting at 10 , and a change bowler, this guy delivered the goods

TRENT COPELAND
On debut, unbelievable debut
8/72[28.4]
2/57 [21]
10/129[49.4]
That is quite stunning
Look forward to seeing him bowl

HENrebIQUES
Heez gunna be a player
But is he doing enough at this stage of his career ?
0/42[17] opened the bowling
3[8]
1/16[8]
2[6]

After 6 games the SS ladder

VI 22
QL 20
WA 12
SA 10
TA 9
NS 8

Next round of games will be vital

TA V QL
TA need 6 points to stay in touch
QL are gunning for a home final
Despite the game being in Hobart, the QL team continues to win and look to be favs in this

WA V SA
The loser is cactus
The winner, if winning outright will be 3rd on the ladder
WA smashed us last time at home, and will start the favs
Unless the gun machine Mr Micky Klinger mades ANOTHER big score

VI V NS
NS have a remote hope of making the final, and need to beat VI outright
Thats easier said than done
At home VI should win comfortably
VI only have a 2 point lead over QL and will be keen to get maximum points

S.A. games deserve individiual threads

PREDICTED ORDER 2009/2010
1 VI
2 NS
3 SA
4 TA
5 WA
6 QL

I think itsa dead set quinella between the 2 Eastern Australian teams
VI
VI was undefeated in 2009/2009 and deserve favouritism
Gotta few veterans , but that means they avoid international duties
HODGE will be the gun batter as per usual
THE DAVE/QUINNEY are stars
WADE is a future oz keeper
NS
Very big chance, have enourmous depth
Whose gunna open the batting when they are all available ?
WATTO/HUGHES/KAT/JAQUES ???
SA
Good batting team, but Fergy injured or playing for OZ a prob
Need TAIT to fire, bowling out the good teams a prob
TA
Good batting team mainly on flat decks, but go missing on tracks with a bitta give at times
If no HILF will struggle to bowl teams out
WA
Unpredictable, can improve
2 big recruits NOFFKE and RONCHI [who did f..k all last season]
RONCHI is a dead set champ IF he gets going with the bat
Batting is the worry, they batted crap last season, but can be dangerous if they get going
Losing ROGERS has destroyed thier batting
QL
Lack depth
Cant make enough the runs for thier underated attack
CARSELDINE needs to make a million runs for them to be competitive

Proving Mal is human after all ;)

Only tongue in cheek, im one poster who generally enjoys all your posts and 99% of the time agree with them. Keep up the good work, though lets try and keep your stable to under 20 cricketers it gives it more value when you get them right. ;)

Those guys being injured has hurt NS
STARC + HAZELWOOD are 2 rookies having to open the bowling and having to be strike bowlers
At times NS have opened with LAMBERT + HENrebIQUES
If you were an opening batter facing those 2 guys you would be licking yor lips

Bowls 130km
Inswings the ball in prodiciously and outswings as well

Takes his season's tally to a very handy 31 wickets @ 22.23

Good enough for a tour of New Zealand?

1/71 off 21 isn't that bad Mal. His problem at SS level has been the amount of runs he was going for and 3.5 an over is more than reasonable IMO.

No doubt he still has a long way to go with the red ball but i think he is improving greatly each time he plays.

I think Ben Cutting is only 23, I would have thought his stats this season would be worthy of a look at least.

Great effort by the Queenslanders today after being 7/114 chasing 252.
