I played in that game for PDCA. Jets were a mixed bunch... but there was no Ryan Harris or Chris Duvall.
From memory Steve Busbridge opened the bowling with Kevvy Thomas. Miles Picton, Pete Thomas, Mark Cosgrove, Andrew Costello and Andrew Perkins all played too. Cant really remember the rest but they were certainly taking the piss and not overly serious....but we were certainly out to win.
I will categorically say the best PDCA side would not get anywhere near the best ATCA eleven.... Matthew Elliott, Mark Harrity, Brad Young, Ben Hook, Mike Watson, John Hopkins, Glen Ashmead, Jamie Marsh etc all have played at least second eleven cricket at state level.
I cant believe people believe it would be a contest.... Having said that, only 2 of them are playing on Sunday.

would be good but very one sided, dont think there would be many guys that could handle the likes of J. Vandeleur and i think the batting would be too strong with the guys they have in the side
More one sided than PDCA v ATCA ?
In fact I do remember reading the B&L comp was stronger than ATCA......outrageous.

Geez mate, you guys were underachievers in the PDCA last season, you seem to be doing allright this year.

i think a B&L vs ATCA game would be one sided OZ, so no it wouldnt be more one sided than ATCA vs PDCA. The top players in B&L i think are of a higher calibre than the PDCA. The likes of Boh Wall, Craig Reimann, Brett Lydeamore, James Vandeleur, Rob Johnson, Craig Hosking and also guys like Anthony Prior and Dan Doecke would be too strong. Just my opinion

Smithfield 8/448 defeated Central United 179
Raed Hannun 205* included a 220 partnership with Shane Rundle for the 8th wicket. Morris chipped in with 87 aswell.

Apparently groover rocked up to play and told not selected - prob fair enough given his last game performance but prob a phone call would have been the right thing to do but of more interest is who came into the side. Have a look at the top 20 batsmen on the run scorers. Maybe it would be one of them. No. Someone who couldnt even make his own teams one day side.

Masha wrote:Good outright for the Lodge yesterday. Bowled out ATCO for 153 and 100 odd after making 239 and 4-90 odd declared. Fielding was atrocious, 12 or more catches went down by us over the 2 innings. Unknown bowled with zip that has never been seen, and took a couple catches as well. That sews up finals, hopefully win one more out of the last 2 and that will be 2nd spot also to us.
See OTH beat AV, anyone got scores from Virginia vs R&C?
