ODI's are dead. Tests with 20/20 games are what people want.

..but its likely ODI attendances are poor because the contests have been generally poor. Next summer may spark more interest with the English

4/109 [29.3] and its raining
AFL footballs flooding version of 50/50 cricket Michael tippygo Clarke is at his taptap best today
31 runs
53 balls
1 boundary courtesy of a misfield

At least this innings is warranted today and he is playing the exact innings he should be playing

QUESTION
WATTO is the standout opener
MARSH/HOPES/HADDIN/PAINE/CLARKE are all good options in the past as openers
So why oh why did VOGES open the batting [even with the late scratching of MARSH]

Im not a VOGES knocker and never will be, he does his bit with bat and ball, but surely there are :
Better openers
Better younger players
Surely S SMITH, CHRISTIAN,D HUSSEY[even though he is 32 now] M MARSH,WARNER and maybe a few others are better players, or better options

Last 5 overs 2 1 1 1 1 1 | 2 . 1 2 1 . | 1 . 1 . 1 . | 1 . 1 2 1 2 | . . 3

That would make riveting viewing, keep it up Pup, there'll be no one at all to watch you do it soon.

Hussey as the new batsmen has 22 from 28. Pup doesn't assume the role of scorer and let the new batsmen settle in does he....

Michael Clarke is the most over-rated cricketer and the most boring player to watch.

Probably my least favourite player in the side.

Michael Clarke is far from overrated!! He just doesn't go the bash in limited overs cricket anymore... it probably stems back to the start of his Test career where he hit a lot of shots in the air and was getting out a lot, now he keeps it on the deck like he is playing lawn bowls.

Agree with that entirely. A brilliant test cricketer but he doesn't have the shots to be an attacking one day cricketer. His only four shot is to cream it through the covers, dry that up and he pushes ones and twos

Spot on
Youve either watched his career, or read my posts on him

He fits the AU gameplan in 50 over games
Get AU to very competitive totals and not overly massive totals
By virtue of a frontline bowling attack, it has worked splendidly all summer

QUESTION
If the game is abandoned b4 Ducky Lewis
Does the AU First innings batting and bowling count[and the WI partial innings] in the players ODIs career stats ?

I'd say so mal. Although are we on delay or something? The radar currently shows nothing over the SCG.
But, it will be abandoned as you will also see what is coming up.
