Chick reading the news on 5AA tonight commencing the story with words (to the effect of): "The SANFL commissioners will meet tonight where they are likely to say yes or no to Port Adelaide's merger proposal"

LOL .. Hard to see them replying with "maybe"

I went to the ODI match at Adelaide Oval between Aust. & W.I.
As I sat there sweltering I couldn't help having a giggle to myself about how stupid we are.
When it's wet and freezing cold in the middle of winter our footballers wear shorts.
And in the blazing heat of an Aussie summer our cricketers wear trousers.

This morning I saw a wheelchair-bound woman wearing a T-shirt which bore the slogan "Jump For Joy!"

I laughed out loud. (on the other side of a train window; she wouldn't have noticed me)

Then I felt bad about laughing. Then I felt good about feeling bad about laughing.

'Fort Battle-Axe' dragged me off to the ‘Cliff Richard & The Shadows’ concert last night.
I must admit, it was much better than I expected, but there were a few things that made me laugh.

1 – It was bloody fantastic to be the youngest people at a gig again !
&
2 – Remember when you went to a big concert, you could smell weed and had to watch out for bad-asses with weapons.
Last night you could smell tweed and had to watch out for lard-*rses with walking frames !!!

You're spot on for the disabled 'LM', but all the parking spots near the doors were filled with
fleets of ambulances, armed to the teeth with 'Packer Whackers' and resuscitators !!!
And that was just for Cliff !

Wasn't really sure where to put this one, but it's comical if not embarrassing

From The Sunday Telegraph, February 8th 2010
Greater Western Stuff-up

IN a Greater Western Sydney mail bungle, Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos received an invitation from GWS counterpart Kevin Sheedy to sign up for the new AFL franchise.
In an embarrassment for the new AFL club, they sent a letter pleading for Roos to "sign for Sheedy".

Roos said he was surprised when he read the letter on Friday morning, which encourages him to help make some "key decisions" with GWS.

"Paul, we need you on the team," Sheedy wrote.

The premiership-winning coach declined the offer in good humour and wrote back to Sheedy.

"Dear Kevin, thank you for your generous invitation to be a part of your football team," Roos writes. "As I am a little busy at the moment, unfortunately I will have to decline the offer to become a member.

"I would certainly like to return the favour, though, by inviting you to become a member of the Sydney Swans. I do realise at this stage you still have your weekends free, so you will be able to enjoy 11 great games in Sydney this season.

"Instead of calling our membership line on 02-9339 9130, you have my number so call me direct and I will sign you up on the spot. From the Sundance Kid.

"PS: I can't believe I haven't been invited around for dinner yet!"

Sheedy nicknamed Roos the 'Sundance Kid' because he believes his career as a 356-game player and premiership-winning coach has been so blessed.

Unfortunately, the GWS team administration has not has been as blessed.

The blunder is embarrassing for the franchise as it desperately tries to gain a foothold in the Sydney sporting market and the AFL.

The AFL has tipped millions of dollars into the GWS franchise - but it hasn't quite figured out how to operate the mail room.

A mate of mine is just beginning to bald, you know, the little circle on the top of your head. He's laying on the lounge and his 6 year old daughter comes up and says "Dad, I really like that hole in your head.."

"Thanks darling...."

That's gold. :D My son's father is going bald and has always been a bit sensitive about it. He lives in the US so he sees my son once a week via webcam. During one of these webcam conversations my son informed him quite loudly, 'I pulled some of my hair out when I was asleep. I'd better not do it again or I'll be all baldy like you!' His father protested that he wasn't bald, he just had short hair. (Yes, that is why when you don't wear a hat your head goes bright red in the sun.) My son wasn't deterred, he said even louder, 'No, you're baldy! You're all bald like an egg!'

Ruining my mate's fantasies about Megan Fox. I sent him a quote where she talks about how she never remembers to flush the toilet. 'My friend's like, "Megan, you totally pinched off a loaf in there and didn't flush!" ' He can't look at her the same way any more.
