Exactly right NM, mannum are paying there way to a premiership.

Ah yet again the rumour about Mannum being funded by a large lotto win and paying their way to a premiership. Unfortunately for those who are happy to sit back in your comfort zone and poke a stick at Mannum, it happened through heaps of off field work. No secret formula, no hidden debts, no white knights. Maybe some should acquaint themselves with the points system, we are all techincally on a level playing field for the first time ever. I personally would love the sponsorship base that comes from being in or close to a rural city and being 45 minutes by freeway to the CBD, but you know what, we will overcome those dis advantages. I feel a bit for Meningee who has the tyranny of distance to overcome. If all that is true on this forum they have recruited well this year and good on them, I hope they have a tearer of a season.

heard from many sources last night that MYPO are training the house down, apparently there were 40+ on the track, all competing in the goodwin run. Also told the average was fairly high in particular J.eckermann who got 250+.. amazing effort, should be good to see the Eckermann brothers back at work at tigerland

Yeah, Mypo are looking at a hard time in 2010, the loss of Jame Pedler is the biggest in the league. And with Coulter and White no certainly to return, their 3 best players possibly have gone, all from a side that finished wooden spooners in 09.

However, Joel and Adam Eckermann are positives for the Tigers, local lads who are club men who spent a bit of time away from the club through injury or junior footy in town. Aditions like this will keep the Tigers from being disgraced... but I can't see them being a threat to anyone.

It seems jervois will struggle this year, yes. But take into account the teams that Mypo and Tailem will display, two very very young sides, who might be on the end of some beltings this year also.
It seems that Meningie will be around the mark, with the pick ups.
And of course there is the big three in mannum, ramblers, and imps who shood have good teams..
should be very interesting year

Not true one bit and is the biggest rmour going around..!!
The young lad is at sturt 18s atm, and has no intentions to play for anyone else but them or at Mypo, the frestones are like the kluskes are at jervois!
althogh jacks boss is smelty (coach of karoonda A's), he is defintely not going there!

Yeah, I agree.. I think the top 2 teams in Imperials and Mannum will be standouts. As for Ramblers they'll be biting at the heals of the front runners, with an improved Meningie and Tailem Bend to round out the top 5. Mypo and Jervois to battle out for the woodenspoon.

13 on the track for Jervois? Wow, that's not something the footy club would be used to in recent times. Seems to me Billing is taking a professional approach out there, but just doesn't get a response from the lads, which is what I've heard. Apparently people aren't liking the way he is going about things over there. Its always tricky first up as a coach, and to be fair he's just taken over a team that has had a huge exodus of quality players recently...

Hopefully we can see some young talent emerge.

I heard the same thing, not 100% percent sure that its true.. would love to know.
If tailem lose Hogarth as well they will be desimated,
not much more players left in their young side that can win games
