I'd do the same as Foley if I was in the same situation although one might suspect my motivation for it would be completely different.

The mailman has just arrived folks and it's looking like a landslide against the Magpies.

In fact, in an absolute first for the club, no-one at Port will actually walk in tonight thinking they can win.

I cant believe Foley is getting involved in this. Really, its going to do more harm than good.

In the end, whatever happens happens. Im still essentially undecided as I still dont know a lot about what this merger will involve.

If it doesnt go through, then I hope all Port supporters (and even some non-Port fans) dig deep and can hopefully get the club out of this mess without the seemingly inevitable occuring.

After listening to my elected member of parliament go on and on about 14 yrs or 15 yrs ago and blaming every one else in the SANFL!!
He has changed my lifetime voting habits and my 21 yo is also changing his vote !! being forced to listen while in the car lol
Seems anyone connected to Port is blaming the rest of the comp for their demise. To listen to Foley North Adelaide must have started WW1 & WW2 and the cold war !!!
Then to moan about Centrals Woodville West Torrens Sturt Norwood and South .Just shows how pathetic this guy is .

One ex labour voter here !!!
OOPS its not about politics its about footy!!!

And before him Tim the chin and just when he started talking all that magpies cheering in the back ground .Did all those chanting go to every game makes me think at least.

Foley's ripping into North on 5AA. Nice one.

He can't be with it, surely? :?

I implore all sane football fans not to vote for these idiots. They're not with it!

WHEN NORTH WANTED HELP, THEY GOT IT!!

I don't recall North merging with an AFL club. Intriguing.

Ripped into North for being so vocal against the merger and stated that "when they wanted help, they got it".

Good post.

Interesting to see whether those jumping on the top deck of this bus with their megaphones on full, at this stage, would be the first to jump off when it comes to pitching in for the Magpies future if it came to it.

Otherwise they should just enjoy a nice tall glass of STFU and just get on with the job they're paid very well to do.

Well get off your butts and work thru the financial trouble just like any other club. Just like any club they have some expert business people as members/supporters, use this resource just like other clubs have to maintain the club.

Its the "throw the skirts over the head, we are dead" mentality that is very frustrating in all this.

and what will Foley add to the debate, a bit of emotional blackmail by the sounds of it, just what is needed.
He should keep out of it but of course he can't help himself.

Its what the bid has essentially been from day one. Nothing but emotional blackmail on everyone else, why would it change now ???

Foley should keep his nose out of it he is just after votes, 10,000 maggie supporters i do not think so at least 90% of Maggie supporters jumped on the Power band wagon so i cannot all these ex supporters heading back to the real Magpies for one they have not got enough money and secondly they now all love watching the AFL, the softest football game in the world.
