Yes we are playing Morphett Vale, 20th March at Hickinbotham Oval. Game before is Goodwood Saints v Cove.

Hello BJ old mate. Youth policy is when you cant recruit anyone and you suck & have to play kids who arent quite ready to play A grade. If your kids are good enough they'll play either way.

Wow, does this mean that we will see the Mudlarks adopting a youth policy this year? :?

No youth policy but we'll be young. Our 17's just won a flag so there will be a few of them debuting round one. They'll have to work hard over the next couple of months for their position, they are not just going to be handed it as you would if you had a "Youth Policy". In saying that theres one thing worse than a youth policy & thats paying 50k to finish 5th or lower... but you'd probably disagree with that Roo32 :? :)

Princi not playing himself in favour of 'youth' last year was a classic example of a youth policy.

Nah I think that was a classic example of Princi trying to hold on to his coaching career as best as he could, didn't seem to work though! What is princi up to this year, playing or coaching?

Benny will have a good season this year at the mudlarks. Just being able to play without worrying about coaching will do him good, tough gig the playing coach.

haha nah mate not from the Victor Harbor Roos if thats what you were thinking! I agree with what you are saying, no point paying that sort of cash unless you think you might be close to playing in a GF with the mighty Demons!

Youth policy's are designed to help us semi older blokes move into retirement that little bit earlier. And drink beer.

Has the Neely deal at Tigerland fallen through?

Another couple of interesting clearances should hit the page in the next week or 2.

I see young Battifuoco has left the Muddies. I thought he was one of the shining lights for them last year, had good pace and looked to be one of the guys that would drive the 'Larks back up the ladder.

Neely is gone. Had to move back to Canberra for work i believe.

Batters has gone back to the valleys due to work commitments. But if the merger between the power & magpies falls through he could be back next year.

I thought it was about time I dropped a Craig Hutchison style bombshell on the forum.. Strathalbyn's Daniel Pegler has signed to play with Kaniva-Leeor in the KNTFL in 2010. This is not a rumour, this is a fact.

Also a huge ruckman from another club has signed on down there if my information is correct!

Any truth to Cleggett, Footner and Warren leaving the Hawks Nest?

Well done Limb, we can add Dylan Webb to that club as a certain starter as well. Big big $$$, Johnny AK Jared as pulled some strings and done well. These 2 join AK and philpy from the GSFL in this league.

I had a feeling it was Webby, I only messaged him last night asking if he was playing at Compass again. A lot of photo's of him with AK on his Facebook of late. Add to that Corstens from Reynella and a couple of other South reserves guys. I hope for AK's sake he keeps his job for the whole season!

Correct BJ, they're heading to Kaniva-Leeor. Heard from a source quite close to the club.

apparently they havent won a game for years and years, according to AK and the club is willing to splash massive amounts of cash. Talking to johnny the other day he seems to have his head screwed on but you would have to wonder why you would spend all this money on players to take a coach that lasted 4 games in another league.

Seems like GSFL players are the flavour of the month....plenty of coin around for not only the good players but some average ones as well. Livefooty your deal at mannum is quite good, but you could have got an extra $600 with AK
