I had a quick chat with Scooter before Christmas, Sambo may have rang him. With Scooter living in Sellicks it would of been rude of the Myponga-Sellicks footy club not to contact him. I think Heath Lambert lives in Sellicks too...

i dont remember anyone saying we had a youth policy(but i will stand corrected if proven otherwise), if scooter is staying at reynella i will be surprised especially after what i heard him say on wednesday night at training but stranger things have happened, tell me what you would do if there is bloke who is 18 and a bloke who is 30 and about the same standard, surely the guy who is 18 is gonna benefit more from playing a grade than bloke who's best is more than likely past him, if you wanna call that a youth policy so be it. As i see it the reason clubs like willunga and morphett vale are so strong is because they have had a core group of 10 to 15 players who have played together for numerous years, with 2 or 3 recruits to top up each year. we now have this oppurtunity with the youngsters that came up last year. we are not suffering from what happened last year but more from what happened in the 3 or 4 before it.

Well by now you'll all know that youngest A son isn't playing football anymore,
and eldest A Son has decided to play elsewhere :(

So I'm sad to say that I won't be seeing many McLaren games or be around the club.
Even though this is the case I feel that I'm a McLaren 'girl' through and through.

I have really enjoyed being at McLarens, and especially in the past few years taking on more roles and meeting more people around the club.
I have made friendships that I truly treasure and am thankful for.
I have especially enjoyed interacting with you guys on this forum and in this thread the past 12+ months.

So to all you McLaren people, thankyou for making my family welcome and I hope to see you -
if not around town then around the forum (Where I'm sure I'll still be regularly 'popping in' to post :D )

Here's wishing you guys all the best in the upcoming season O:)

Fly the mighty eagles!!

Any news on the Trial game Yetti. Heard that the ambulance visited the ground a couple of times. Hope there was nothing too serious!
