Lets spell it out for him Columbo......

Every member needs to be told of the AGM and that there will be an election.

Not every member will vote or request a postal vote. Every member who attends the AGM will see the candidates and their information on the night. So, instead of sending another 5 pages of information to every member, most which will not care, the Club has obviously decided that every member who wants to vote will get the information either on the day or by post when they request a postal vote.

Hence saving the Club money by not having to send stuff to people who don't care.

He looks ok to me Boot Camp .
Leading the packs ?I assume you mean in the 3k time trials .I can't really think that he was or wasn't up the front .I haven't been to training on a Monday night for a couple of weeks, that's when they do most of their running.Wednesday nights is more ball work and playing drills .And he seems ok in them.

Does stand out with his locks ;)

Funny, as a member, I got a direct e-mail two days ago advising me of the AGM with a link giving full manifestos for each board nominee.

This is the easiest and most direct way I have ever got this information at the Eagles and the transperancy is chalk/cheese compared with what I have seen elsewhere.

Not a member Holden or did you not read the e-mail?

Yes iv been A member of WEST TORRENS since the 60s and still am  Idident supply my email when i last joined up because i was changing it ! The info should have been sent out with the names in the report ,i dont think all the old members would have email

Oh well the times are changing mate we the club cant be catering to everybody, it is not hard to sign up for emaill. My Dad is 72 and he made the very brave move and connected himself to the internet.

Well if holden78 was at the AGM last night it was explained .That under the constitution all the club needed to do was put all info of the candidates on the bulletin board and in the clubs windows.
The Club president did say that they may in future put info in the clubs end of year info re the agm booklet .

I missed training last night due to work (missed part of today at work due to work making mr arthritis play up today :) )
This is what my sources said re training last nite!!
Saw some great tackling & body work there tonight, it was like watching rugby players tackling. They were in pairs & had to drag their opponent over a line. My sources almost started to clap, it was great, especially some of the strong ones, Simmo, Rimma, Jimmy Stewart.

Anyone know whether we've managed to get Aaron Spicer out to pre-season? Former Eagles U19 player in 2008 197 cm mobile forward who rated 3rd in the Mail Medal Mid North Association playing as a ruckman/forward. At 21 years of age, he deserves seroius attention

The Eagles regularly try to get Aaron Spicer down to play but at this stage he is not interested. I was very disappointed when he decided to give SANFL away.

From the Eagles intraclub trial tonight:
1. Ruckman Seb Guilhaus looked impressive and his opponent Basketballer Hoban offered good opposition. Both ruckman showed good leap and reach and we won't be jumped over by opposition ruckman as we have for the past 3 years.
2. James Stewart (a la Jason Sziller) was impressive on the ball early, strong in close, quick and delivers well. Should team up with Banner to give us a satisfactory roving duo after doubtful recruiting of the same over Summer.
3. Scott Lewis was a handy onballer (get ya hair cut!!!) and a backline player (possibly Aaron Day) wa staking good strong overhead pack marks in the backline.
4. Scott Welsh kicked 5 goals
5. Couple of players that had been reported as having given up were out there - a much trimmer Jarrad Wright and Hicks.

Agree with what you have written Premiers
From my point of view those that played mainly seconds footy last year shined .Welsh looked like an afl footballer.rimmington hurt himself .
Sutecliff ,Vonbertough(spelling may be wrong) watch these kids they can play.Even the soon to be club cult hero Ben English very very tall and very very thin did some good things.Rhett Biglands has had some influence in his ruck coach duties.
Lewis leave your locks mate that way I can remember who you are.
Jimmy Stewart the missing factor from 09.
