Now even though Haddin is a reluctant opener and Marsh has done reasonably well, i still think the best side for AUS in ODI is having Watson and Haddin open with another all rounder at 7.

For me that is Steven Smith. Someone that can bowl some overs, that can hit the big ball in the last 5 overs and who can field. Think having marsh out, haddin open, and smith at 7 is definitely a better balanced side for mine. You then have the 4 quicks (including watson) and two spinners in Smith and Hauritz.
