To all the families and friends of the three young lads, and the Mount Compass Footy Club, deepest sympathy from everyone at the Morphett Vale Footy Club. Can't imagine how tragic it must be to lose three young lads in the blink of an eye.

So sad to hear about the lads from Mt Compass. Thoughts are with their families and the community up there. The club can expect our full respect and good wishes when we play a trial game against them in a few weeks. A couple of ex-GGFC lads are now playing there also....

So how are most the teams fairing up for this year.I know Mclarens are still ringing players telling them there exactly what they need etc.Funny would of thought if they were that important they be ringing in oct-nov not late jan
Also heard that they have missed out on alot of players they tried to get so now the panic button has been hit and they are throwing around inflated payments to ok players just to get some new blood into the club.where have i heard that story before ;)

from what i have seen and heard mclaren have had about 50 guys at the last 5 training sessions and a few too busy with work, a few old faces returning and most of the guys have done some hard work in the off season. not to sure if they would be bothered chasing any more with numbers like that

The Creeks look to have picked up a handy recruit in ex Glenelg player Lachie McGregor.
If his Footy ability is as exciting as his cricket style, he'll be well worth watching.
Donning the pads for the 1st time for 3 years, the ex Broken Hill lad Pummelled the Hahndorf bowlers to all parts to Register 107* n.o. for the Creeks. An innings that included 9 towering sixes and lasted only 12 overs.

Yeah he is definately worth watching JJ. :)
Check out this link to see what he's capable of - Alberton 2009. Took another great grab the week after at Woodville Oval that was nearly as good.

Yeah he will be handy for sure. I would love to see him running around in a Flaggies guernsey, but our lack of finals success let us down in our talk to him.
I wish him all the best. Hopefully will be back at The Bay next season

Lachie was signed at the bay in December but unfortunatly the creeks have splashed the cash again, not sure how clubs can compete with the bank at the creek.
