Sect 4 mate. Also got 21 wickets to go with his runs.

We've had a bloke go down to Captain a D Grade side and make 800 runs in a season a few years ago so I shoudn't complain. However, it pissed off people within our club and the opposition so not good for cricket and will not happen again at Ramblers while I'm selecting.... don't care if they want to play with their mates. It's wrong and spoils club records IMO.

Josh Bennett is probably the best bat in the whole association let alone section 4. I am sure he will back at West Torrens next year.

I think thats what the other people are trying to say. Bit of a joke he is hunting the trophys.

But from what i have heard, apparently Josh Bennett playing sec 4 is now causing some friction at Sheidow Park and some guys are just not happy with it. I wonder how the club will handle such issues in years to come, and even for the rest of this year!

Following on from Gowser's brother sub fielding the other week just weeks after his brain surgery, there was an article on Glenn in my local messenger. Thought i would share it with everyone on here.

Amazing story and effort by Glenn. Really hope this doesnt come back for him so he can spend quality time with his kid on the way. Good luck to him and the family, and also no more deserving winner of the local cricket hero. I think the prize was a box at the Australia Day cricket game. Hope he enjoyed it!

Amazing story.

Lets hope he proves Dr Teo wrong and brings that % down from 100% he thoroughly deserves that at least. I am sure he doesn't need reminding to cherish every moment with his son it certainly adds perspective to your life reading something like that.

Very true Booney not easy holding them back reading that.

Good win by our boys today never easy chasing totals over 200 but we did it 6 down. Ended up all out 346. Ck was the pick of our batters with a well made 69. Benny Mac ended up with 76*.

I heard the bays lost to westminster so that would make us top unles keswick won outright today.

I see sheidow didn't get the outright but they are still in with a sniff of finals action again.

Coromandel are making a run for it as well with another win.

How did the ramblers go today? that result could shape the 4

Well played South Rd, very poor Ramblers. Fortunately for us Morphies smashed Sheidow in the 2nd dig after they'd been played out of it.

We have made things very hard on ourselves but 2 wins from last 3 will probably see us thru, perhaps may need 3 from 3 against quality teams.

Why did WYC bat on 100 past total against NH?

If that's true then they're the biggest bunch of tossers going around !!

What happened to a bit of sportsmanship and the spirit of the game ?? If you're not attempting an outright then get off and have a beer.

Your right about one thing Figjam ;) but I think it was a mutual agreement between the two captains to give every one ago.

Call us a bunch of tossers for many reasons but not when you dont know the truth.
As Bazza said (played B grade) both captains decided to give the bowlers and batters a bat due to the fact that we are coming to finals, and NH are coming to the end of the season! Both sides were happy to do it, and we still finished at 445 so we didnt stay out much longer. Was a good thing by both captains and after the game we had a couple beers with the NH boys.

Both days of cricket were very enjoyable and played in good spirits. Good fun down at NH it was

Was having a chat to mate of mine who plays in your comp. I just don't understand why you guys have the points scoring system you do. How can there not be any incentive to play out the whole days play ? Has there been any discussions of changing it or is everyone happy with the system in place ?

Just curious..

Figjam crawl back under the rock you came from.

Wyc batted on after tea(we needed 3 runs to win at tea) after offering nth haven a chance at second innings points with 40 something overs left. Once declined we said we will bat until all out to give the blokes down the bottom of the order a bat going into finals and nth haven were happy to give some others a bowl as ck said.
