Only need the SE corner Qld to have daylight savings, hillbillies like Katter can keep their ultra-early sunrises that way.

Qld is sane - they stick to zone time and don't inconvenience those in the west of their state.
In city-centric Adelaide we start off 1/2 hour ahead of zone time then go to 1.5 hours ahead.
Those in our west must really love it...

Ms Chantelois and her mother obviously stirring the pot and seeking publicity by attending an art exhibition to be opened by Mr Rann and Mr Rann for not having the 'balls' to turn up.

I was about to write the same thing. Apparently she said that she can't even remember all of her children's names. And she reckons she wants more children too. Maybe a couple of psychological tests wouldn't be amiss here?? Also, I hope the doctor who implanted her in the first place has had his licence revoked.

Parents playing favourites with their kids. When I lived at home I always paid board and got called a 'sponge' if I had trouble paying it on time. Yet my younger sister lives there completely rent-free even though as a nurse she earns about four times what I did, being a student on Centrelink at the time. Dunno what's going to happen if she ever does move out - first electricity bill will probably give her a heart attack. My mum actually rang me up the other day and said 'We're so relieved your sister was able to sell her old car, because she's going on holiday to Sydney with the girls next week and she only had $700 to go away with.' Cry me a bloody river!!

Posties who ride their bloody bikes across the struggling, heat affected lawn to get to next door's letterbox just to save a few seconds. We have no footpath so I reckon they don't give a rat's ar$e and do it anyway.
Our regular postie doesn't do it, it's always the "fill ins" and if you chat them about it, they give you the look of death!

Double Bogey. It's hot and you care more about your lawn than some poor barstard doing his job. Lawns are a waste of water.

I hate my postie because he continually folds my letters as he puts them in my huge concrete letterbox. It's harder to read how much you owe someone when there is an annoying crease in my letter......
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

not being able to fully understand as im an only child but my gf was one of 4 siblings, she was made to pay board etc - she reckons that it has helped her in terms of budgeting etc and I guess understanding the value of the dollar

so like you said her first electricity bill will give her a heart attack, then the gas bill, phone bills, internet etc - its a neverending story

One thing I really hate is the yellow envelope. I always suck myself into opening it, thinking there might actually be something good in it. But it's always the same old crap.
