I decided to put some huge multis on today.

Got $5 on Djokovic 3-0, Baghdatis 3-2, Hewitt WIN and Haas WIN @ 14.01

$10 on Youhzny WIN, Ivanovic WIN, Woznicki 2-0, Hewitt WIN, Stosur WIN, Venus and Serena Williams both 2-0, and Hantuchova WIN @ 4.57 - small odds I know but I am reasonably confident.

Djokovic loses the 1st set, damn. I will be pissed if Baghdatis ends up winning in 5.

Yep very angry at myself for putting Djokervic in there to win 3-0!

No more betting on tennis for me I think.

Betting on womens tennis is probably the worst thing you could do.

Disappointing. Lucky I laid off during the third set when Gonzo was all over Roddick.
Gonozo was insipid in my view, mental toughness of a snail.

Sure was! Gonzales lost due to Roddicks superior mental toughness.

Cracking game it was!

SPORTSBET PAYS OUT MORE THAN $100,000 IN BETS ON MURRAY

Punters who backed Andy Murray to defeat Rafael Nadal with leading online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au will be happy with their choice of bookie as Sportsbet.com.au pledged to pay all bets on Murray to win while refunding all bets on Nadal following his third set retirement last night.
The move – unprecedented in Australian betting – is set to cost the bookmaker more than $100,000.

“Common practice amongst bookies is to void all bets when a player retires, however, it was pretty clear Murray was going to romp home and we think it’s only fair that those who backed him get paid,” said Sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane.

“Punters who backed Nadal live to fight another day, while those who backed Murray with anyone else will only have their bets refunded.”

Lane said bookmakers around the country stood to lose substantially as Murray was well backed to win the quarter final match.

“Other bookies will be thanking Nadal for saving them a fortune, but we think it’s not right to hide behind the rules and simply void all bets on this match,” Lane said.

Murray has rocketed to be the $2.50 favourite to win the Australian Open ahead of Roger Federer ($2.75), Novak Djokovic ($8), Nikolay Davydenko ($9), Marin Cilic ($15) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ($21).

Even though she is down a break in the first set, i like the look of Li NA and i think Serena is struggling to move a bit.

I think Li Na will win this match and be the first Chinese player into the Womens final of a grand slam!

What a joke! I backed Hewitt over Bagdhatis and my bet was cancelled (quite rightly so) when Hewitt was in a very strong position to win when Marcus retired hurt.

Nothing but a publicity stunt.

Strong position is a lot different that almost unassailable... Hewitt hadn't even won two sets yet.... Murray was up 2-0 and a break in the third set...

I did say that my bet was quite rightly cancelled as I don't have a problem with it cause it clearly states that bets cancelled if matches are incomplete.

My point was that its a big publicity winner and that would be the only reason they have done it. I didn't bet on this game so it doesn't affect me, just making an observation.

Anyone know the results from today's Womens Semi Finals?
