Ain't it brilliant? We took the Pseudomites to it the other day. The younger spent 15 minutes running around with his hands in the air yelling "dinosaur bones! dinosaur bones!", while the elder spent 15 minutes trying to drag me from exhibit to exhibit saying "come on Dad, I just want to show you something..."

I'm intrigued at the pricing - they shouldn't be any more expensive to manufacture than any other radio.

Re: Things that you rate!

Postby Dirko » Thu Jan 21, 2010 11:25 am

I sent this email off to Golden North, a generic email address, thinking I'd never get a reply. Sent it Monday night.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have a craving for Lime Ice Cream. Quite often I will gorge myself on it, when I find an outlet that sells this heavenly product. Unfortunately my obligations and commitments prevent me from going to said establishments on a regular basis, and thus, my Lime Ice Cream cravings go unabated.

Every week when I do my shopping I longingly look into the Freezer compartment and see if by some miracle the marketing/sales/production/cow milker etc have cottoned on that there are more people like me out there and think;

"Boysenberry, stuff the Boysenberry, I reckon Lime would be a good seller".

Obviously not.

I am now at the stage where I have decided to beg.

Please, please introduce Lime Ice Cream (preferably via the Drakes Foodland chain, Fulham Gardens, as that's where I shop). If you decide that my grovelling is not good enough, can I come via the Head Office in Glandore and buy a single 5 ltr Range ( I would go the 10 L but am scared I may eat it all in one hit ).

If I can buy said product by that miserly amount, how much would the cost be ? I promise to return the tub, and when I do will then purchase another tub of said flavour.

Hopefully you can help, and I look forward to your response.

Kindest Lime Regards

SJABC

P.S My three children and In-Laws also love the Lime
P.P.S Just finished the Vanilla, and whilst it is nice, it's no where at the level of the Lime.
P.P.P.S never had the Boysenberry, as I find it distasteful that Boysenberries are more popular then Limes.
P.P.P.P.S If Boysenberries were more popular then why do people not put them into Coronas ?

And got this reply the next morning at 0853 ! What service by Golden North ! And from the Sales & Marketing Manager none the less !

SJABC

Thank you for your comments, especially on the Lime flavour.

Many years ago we did have a 2lt Lime, however it was deleted due to slow sales.
We have however been looking at bringing it back in the future.

In the meantime you can purchase a 5lt tray from our office for $15.00

the office is located at
4/780 South Rd
Glandore
82923500

If you wish to order one please phone and we will get it in for you. You can even keep the tub!
We keep the impulse range here but not all the 5lt flavours as there is 32 flavours in total.
It usually takes a few days to bring the stock down from our factory at Laura in the mid north.

Regards

I looooooove Golden North ice cream, best in the world IMO, nothing better, everytime I have another brand I always think how crap it is compared to Golden North...probably comes from growing up in Gladstone, just up the road from the GN factory.

I have always wondered why they dont have more flavours, Ive had them all but just stick to Vanilla these days

Let us know how it goes Jabber

Your email to them was comedy Jabber.

But I LOVE Boysenberry ice cream, one of my favourites, I don't think I've ever had an actual fresh boysenberry before (what the hell are they?) but if I did I might try it in a Corona...

Bless you Jabber. Put me down for a limey too.
Can ya' post the list of 32 flavours when you get a chance. I'd love to see 'em all.
Peter's (Sydney) used to do a coffee ice cream back in the 60's that 'was to die for'.
Sure hope Golden North do one too.
