I've never quite understood getting kids names tattooed to your body...

I have a portrait of my son on my left shoulder blade and an artist has drawn up the pic for my daughter to be put on my right side.

The cursive name on the inner forearm, IMO, is becoming very popular and I agree, I'm not sure I like it.

Once again, each to their own.

I have toyed with the idea of getting my kids names, or initials, inked somewhere - probably top of the arm, or shoulder blade.

Just need to get off my bum and do it...and get the courage ! ;)

You're the odd one out these days without tatts. One of the few people I knew who had them when I was growing up was my uncle who was in the navy and served in Korea and I knew how much he regretted getting them.

I just wonder if today's generation is going to regret them. I saw an ad a while back and the caption had "the year 2020" and it was a woman reaching into a cupboard exposing her lower back tatt which said "horny bitch" (or words to that effect) and the kids at the breakfast table were looking at each other thinking WTF.

The tribal tatts on white boys are hilarious.

The closest I've come to getting one was if we won in 1998. I said I'd get a Sturt tattoo after the years of shit we tolerated if we got across the line.

I'm too indecisive and get bored quickly. If there were tatts that lasted 6-12 months I'd be in.

haha, that would be a good ad to see

I have a bloke at work who was in some sort of forces
he has the tats on the outside of his forearms and he said it was one of his biggest regrets of his life
I spoke to him about getting one and he strongly suggested I shouldnt
but after stating it would be out of eyes way with a t shirt on, he said it wasnt as bad

some tribal on white guys looks ok.
it will be funny when we are older to see all the faded sleeves on sloppy old people arms
then Im sure these heros will regret them!

one other thing I dont understand is those stupid ******* flesh holes that emo kids get
they look shit and stuff ya ears up for ever!!
why would anyone want them??

Why would someone get a picture of a person with a thyroid condition (note goitre or swelling in the neck) or neck tumour permanently inscribed on their arm?

Penrith Panther Jarrod Sammut gets tattoo with wrong spelling
The Daily Telegraph
February 17, 2010 12:35PM 61

FOOTBALLER Jarrod Sammut has revealed a new tattoo but he probably should have checked the spelling first.

The fullback for Penrith Panthers had "Justify Your Existance" tattooed in big, bold letters all across his chest last year but it took two weeks before he realised the mistake.

"I had a little bit of a giggle about it but there's not much I can do now," he said.

"I picked out the style and the bloke wrote it down on the tracing pad. I had a quick look at it, I liked the type and shape and I was happy with it."

As well the new tat, Sammut has bulked up. "I've put on a good 8kg," he said.

"I played last year at 72kg to 74kg but I'm now at 82kg. It is the heaviest I have been."
