I was surprised that the Vikings beat the Cowboys so easily. So far, all seeded teams have had easy victories.

Checking scores I find out that yet another young player has died  http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d ... nfirm=true

So far:

AFC Championship: Indianapolis Colts v Chargers or Jets
NFC Championship: New Orleans Saints v Minnesota Vikings

Vikings defence absolutely dominated our offence - it was embarassing

Our defence went OK

17-3 at half time so we were still in it if we could turn it around but the Vikings defence just got better and better.

Good luck to Brett Favre

Next week will be a corker but I'll go with the Saints at home

Interesting now that the Jets play the Chargers. If the Jets win, and the Ravens get over the Colts, the Jets get a home AFC Championship game lol.

**** Tom Brady and the Patriots, hahaha.

Gee I was wrong with that!

Glad the Cowboys are gone and the Jets were a real shocker.
But I will be surprised if they knock over the Colts next week.

I had to keep up with text updates at work. Just downloaded the game and watched it tonight.

Tough game, but we kept on pounding and eventually they broke. SHONN GREENE is a beast! So hope some of the bootleg jersey stores get one of his jerseys up.

Love it when people say we cant do it.

We couldn't beat the Bengals a 2nd time.
We couldn't beat the Chargers.
We can't beat the Colts.

I just love Rex Ryan, he won't back down from a fight, regardless of how good they are, bring them all on. I'm so fired up! BRING ON MONDAY!

I get the day off work too, freaking sweet! Gotta wait till tomorrow to see if OneHD are showing it. It's the early game and on CBS too, so hopefully it is!

Hope they show both actually, Vikings vs Saints is gonna be nuts if it turns into a shootout!

Yeh my olds have foxtel, but I dont think they'll like me rocking up at 6.15am to yell at the TV :P

Casino would be open, could do an all nighter playing poker, put 1/2 on the Jets @ $8 to win the SB and the other half on the Jets @ $3.90 to beat the Colts.

Well, I was nearly right. I did say Charges in a close one.

After the games this weekend, the Saints look the goods. If the Jets defence plays anywhere near as good as it's last 3 weeks, then they will play in the Super Bowl.

Some trivia on the Colts v Jets match up in the AFC Championship.

The Jets only appearance in a SuperBowl was in SuperBowl III in 1969. Ironically, this was against the Colts when the Colts where in Baltimore.

1969 was the last season before the merger of the old National Football League and the rival American Football Leage. Because they was less "AFL" teams than NFL teams, 3 NFL teams moved to the new American Football Conference so that there was 13 teams in each conference. The 3 teams that moved where the Baltimore Colts, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns. So another Colts v Jets SuperBowl match-up is impossible for now.

The Jets upset win in Superbowl III is seen as a turning point in American Football history because it legitimised the SuperBowl concept and the American Football Conference after the NFL's Green Bay Packers comfortably won SuperBowls I and II.

People said we couldnt be Cincy a 2nd time... why? This was taken from a Jets forum, but sums up how I feel exactly.

CINCY has the better QB
A rookie QB will fold in the playoffs.
The Jets can not win on the road
Cincy has a ton of weapons.
Cincy has a great rush defense.

LATHER RINSE REPEAT

SD has the better QB
A rookie QB will fold in the playoffs.
The Jets can not win on the road
SD has a ton of weapons.
SD has a great rush defense.

LATHER RINSE REPEAT

And now we are going to Indy

Indy has the better QB
A rookie QB will fold in the playoffs.
The Jets can not win on the road
Indy has a ton of weapons.
Indy has a great rush defense.

LATHER RINSE REPEAT

In the words of Rex Ryan: We are here, Deal with it! People keep underestimating us,

---
I kind of liken this to the AFL a little bit. A team can be streaky and high scoring throughout the regular season, but falter come finals. Because finals are tough, in the trenches, fight for every ball kind of games. These kind of games is what the Jets excel at. If the Colts win, I'll support them in the SuperBowl. If the Jets win, all of the North West suburbs will know about it!!!

Yes Peyton is dangerous, but so are we. Bring it on!

Enjoy the ride!
