That's rubbish, they knew all along the ground capacity would be smaller so I have no sympathy for them at all. They should have thought of this before they wrote it on the tickets. You can't just change the rules like that.

it is pure maths you can't get 30,000 people into a ground which can only hold about 18,000 atm....reading smacs last post i'll now be in the early to avoid disappointment & i suggest you do the same ;)

I'm a member so I will be getting there early.

Why didn't they do the maths before they advertised and sold these cricket passes at the beginning of the season?

If you have a Grade Cricket pass or Volunteer pass then you can get in until the ground is deemed full for OHS purposes. Once that is reached, the passes won't get you in.

That won't be applicable in this case though will it, because it is already a sell out, hence the ground will be full???

The ground isn't full until people fill it up, which from what I can see hasn't happened yet! Turn up when the gates open and the pass will get you in.

So if you bought a ticket, turn up just before the first ball is bowled and the ground is full you won't be let in?

Aaaaaaaaannnnnd sold out folks.

Got a couple of tix for me and the boy. Wasn't planning on relying on the grade cricket passes just in case. Dad just arrived from Melbourne, tried to book himself one...no good. "Allocation Exhausted". So am I!

I wouldn't bother trying to roll up with just the free ticket, I reckon there'll be Buckleys.

Was at the Vic game and couldn't get a seat in the members stood in front of the Bradman stand. Behind me taking up 4 seats in the front row were 4 kids about 5 - 7 years old who had NO interest in the cricket at all. Pouring their soft drinks on the ground and watching it run down the steps was more amusing. Very annoying when i've paid $345 for a membership. Must say tho, it was probably 1 st time ever have had that problem at a Domestic game. (not getting a seat that is)

Part of paying for that membership is you can get a kid in for free up to age 9, I think its great cause I dont have to pay for a Junior membership for my son until I get a feel if he will use it or not.

We will be getting there around 5pm to get a good seat, any later I fear the members will be chockers

What about those who have bought tickets through Ticketek?

This situation has the potential to get very ugly at the gates Saturday night...

I'm sure the SACA will work out how many purchased tickets have been sold and then only allow "x" amount of grade passes. Where they will get caught out is the amount of under 7 year olds go in as they are unaccounted for.
I'm in the same boat but I don't mind SACA getting some money in the bank from it, I'll be playing during the day so I wont be able to get there early anyway.

Well I just spoke to the secretary at the SACA and she assured me that they will be honoured, didn't say anything about capacity conditions etc.

Despite all the statements on here I honestly can't see how they legally couldn't have honoured them. From now on SACA, just say they aren't valid for finals and save everyone the hassle.

From the SACA site.

Access to the final for members and their transferable cardholders is of the highest priority. Due to the expected high member attendance and the current reduced capacity of Adelaide Oval the option to bring guests into the members enclosure will not be available.

Likewise, reciprocal entry for intestate members will not be available.

Therefore - entry to the members enclosure will only be to Member card holders and Transferable card holders.

The members enclosure for the final will be the Sir Donald Bradman Stand and the concourse seating in front of that stand and the Clem Hill Stand seating platform.

No word about the volunteers passes though
