They are one of a few teams that are definite possibilities for surprise packets IMHO mate .. I reckon Central and Sturt are pretty safe to maintain the same or similar standards, the Bays should, leaving North and the Eagles as the 2 who could finish anywhere between say 7th-1st.

A lot of the footballing public seem quite confident Westies fit into that category too.

I agree just think maybe be short of some experience but they will (west) improve I think Healy is on the right track and they know the game plan a lot better I think they may suprise I think Glenelg will fall maybe even miss the 5

Dunno, I've heard there may be a rift between some players and the coach.

Interestingly, Thorntons have North as equal third favourites for the flag in 2010:

GLENELG 3.20
CENTRAL DIST. 3.20
NORTH ADELAIDE 4.00
STURT 4.00
WOOD-TORR 5.00
NORWOOD 15.00
PORT ADELAIDE 21.00
SOUTH ADELAIDE 21.00
WEST ADELAIDE 26.00

I give them a huge chance at top 3, if they can get a solid defence they are a huge show, last year was always going to be a development year (similar to what the Eagles will go thru this year)

I think North will be right up there.

I think they have recruited very well. They needed more grunt in the midfiied & thats why Elstone & young Moore from the power have been recruited. There Forward line again looks very strong with Alleway White & Stewart up forward. I think Gill may play down back.

Wundke who was delisted by North Melb. is back so he can play key position at both ends of the ground.
Thye will be around the mark

Those odds are not worthy of even looking at. Seriously, Westies below Port and South, and the odds for Ports and South? What a joke!

Will be real improvers in my opinion, a side that will be capable of some big wins...

A real chance to finish top 3 I think, just not sure at the expense of who, possibly the Tigers ?

Based only on how North & Sturt performed against my mob in 2009,
IIRC, I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish above the rest in 2010.
This weekend's trial between Norwood & North will be very interesting.

Real improvers? I thought we have been touted top 3 at least for the last 4 years - when does the improver tag run out.

I think our excuses/premiership window must be close to expiring!

Thoughts Roosters' supporters?
