GSFL Movements

Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

careful talking like that about Gasko...if he chose to play he would still have been one of the best players in the SFL last year. For someone who you think is a slow, lumbering old bloke he never got beaten in his last season at Morphies.
Axel Rose said it right - he will add a lot on and off the field and will help take the larks in the right direction as a footy club.

Tigers have signed a 100 goal fullforward that lined up for Barooga on the NSW side of the Murray last yr. Played at Shepp Swans the yr before in the GVFL which is probably the best country league going around. This guy is pure quality but wouldnt come cheap, these types of players could pull $800 easy in the GV. The Fitz could be backing the deal, good to see the legends back at the Tiger Den.

I was told that myponga have been given a Grant of $3 million to spend on clubrooms and oval surroundings. Is this fact or fiction. Seems like a hell of alot of $$$$ for a country club. The bloody Power would be crying down at Alberton if it was true

Fiction to a point. They're after a grant (for about the last 5 years) to build new clubrooms, but its not for $3m.

Dont get me wrong, great, even fantastic players in their heyday, but the Larks should be lookin to move forward, not backwards..

I havent spoken to either of these 2 players & its all rumors at this stage but i cant think of 2 better players to be on field leaders for the young mudlarks. If these 2 did play, the kids would know they had a bit of protection if needed, theres also no 6ft 4 kids coming through, so these kids can develope on the flanks, pockets etc without the pressure of having to hold down a key position.

I guess this would mean "The End of the Road" for these 2 clubs.
