And it's not just the women players either. Completely puts me off watching tennis anymore.
It's purely a ploy to interfere with the opponent's concentration and should be banned for it's
bad sportsmanship, if not crowd displeasure.

A bloke down at my local gets so angry he calls it tennis' answer to footballers spitting on opponents.

Seriously though, I reckon that those guilty of this woeful habit should be fined big time, with
the revenue raised then channelled into junior tennis on the proviso that the kids are coached to
never emulate such a pathetic and unnecessary noise on every bloody swing.

The authorities running tennis will only come down on this practice once they realise how many
fans it's turning away from the game.
