Youngy is the Runner and a fitness freak so I guess you could say he is the fitness coordinator - payney was doing what he does best - moving cones

how do you guys manage cricket and football trainings on the same night?

cricket only train on Thursday

Same as us, it can be pretty congested and dangerous at times, it's worked well so far this season.

new cricket nets going in as we speak which will make it a lot safer as they are enclosed so ball can only go out straight - just stay away from behind the bowlers leaves three quarters of the oval to train with but knowing footballers they will warm up behind the bowlers

We usually have 3 nets going and the bowling machine in operation in the middle, Joss works it out with the cricket coach to maximise the space available so there's no risk of injury, it's been all good so far, the footballers quite often find other methods for training on Thursday nights aswell. It's been a headache in previous years though.

Why did he leave Salisbury North????

I think you find that he is good mates with the new smithfield coach! i didn't think he played "A" grade at S/North only "B" grade, but i could be wrong. He did play last season at central united?

He'd be no good in div 5 a grade then, wasn't the talk on the forum last season that div 6 a grade was better than div 1 b grade

Session was well run by youngy and will have all the players who attended off to a good start for 2010. Just need more boys out there to push everybody through.

I know a few boys that weren't there tonight will read this and hopefully you will make it out on the track for thursdays session. Club at 6:30 for another good solid session.

Yes Ryno was a very disappointing turn out. 6-7 guys at the cricket and a lot of excuses. Hopefully more on Thursday and the masses come out next week. Not long now till the trial games. Bad sign when I win the 300 Metre run, sure I had a 50 metre head start and everyone was jogging, but a win is a win.

Would like to be the first to congratulate Scott Dykstra on being appointed C grade coach at Hope Valley for season 2010. Scotty has great experience as a player and is a one eyed Hope Valley boy. He will be a welcomed addition to the coaching staff.
