Black Adder

Postby Punk Rooster » Mon Nov 13, 2006 3:30 pm

This is a show I still find very funny- I used to think "Black Adder Goes Forth" was the best series, but now think "Black Adder The 3rd" is superior.
Forget Mr Bean, this is Rowan Atkinson's finest work.

I always liked Part II, especially the episode where Edmund tries to impress his mates with a great booze up and quaker Aunt and uncle to get money off them due to his lack of funds...

Mate, "Great Booze up Blackadder!!"
Aunty, 'Edmund, can you explain yourself!!"
Blackadder, (thinks to himself eyes wonder all around as he mutters great booze up) "Yes, I can, you see a friend of his, Boo, has been sleeping all day and he has finally woken and hes has merely said, Great Boo's up!"

Blackadder, "Baldrick you're fired"
Baldrick, 'But Mr B, my family has been in your family for 200 years!"
Blackadder, "So Syphillis, you're still fired"

Funny show, easily Atkinsons best work....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Blackadder II for me as well.

Two classic episodes:

'Bell' (Blackadder has a new man servant "Bob")
'Head' (Blackadder as executioner)

Blackadder IV was second best.

Bauldrick was an absolute crack up too. That story he came up with on one of the episodes was hilarious.
"Once apon a time there was a little sausage called Bauldrick. The end".
Wolf Pack. OOOOOOOWWWWWW.

Picked up Series II & III for $13 each at JB Hifi- they have a sale on at the moment, get in if need be.
Box Set = $90, yet can pick up 4 x $13= $52...
