This sort of topic is always very debatable BUT I do like your test side bar the highlited! 2x spinners is this side playing on the sub contenent? if not who bowls pace? Polllock out for maybe a Lee/Akram/Wackar/Stien/???

Pollock was a medium fast bowler, I had him, McGrath and Kallis in there with Tendulkar as a medium option. Perhaps 12 would've been a more versatile option to cover all playing surfaces, Akhtar would've got the nod then.
My ODI team would've suited any conditions IMO.

Imagine Gayle, Sehwag & Gilchrist in the top 3 of your one day side and all fired, wouldnt that be great to sit back and watch 1/500 odd after 50

Yeah, you could always put Dhoni up the order if you start slipping under 10 rpo.

No we don't, 2000-2009, the first decade of the millenium, the end of 2010 will be 11 years.

Not if you start from 2001.

So was 1990 the last year of the 80s?

Yes, it was. The reason is that there is no year Zero, so each decade commences on January 1st ... 01

If your not going to have gilly opening, I would think a hitter used to the last 5-10 overs would be a better bet. Maybe a Mark Boucher or Dhoni. That said i would open with Gilly and get rid of Sehwag. Open up a spot for another specialist bowler.
