Sorry Bloods you have definately got a case of mistaken identity there mate. I was at Compass oval watching the Parry/Rice show. After watching the 20/20 & first hand experience on saturday Bays have one hand firmly on the silverware for 2010.

Not the first time this year a certain umpire has been a little off. Just ask Conner why his helmet seems a little worse for ware.
Matt East must like him though. Especially when you can be out 4 times before your innings is over.

Yep same one. Eastie was out 4 times. Ziggy hit the cover off as well with a not out call and then Bryce was given out when he didn't hit it & Conner also given his marching orders when he didn't hit it. All in 1 days play.

Or maybe he could use all our $4's and buy a hearing aid.
Or we could all give our $4's to Conner so he can buy a new helmet.

hearing aid and he could use a new set of glasses.
Only if Connor could do as much damage to the ball as he did to his helmet ;)

the umpire saturday was terrible. worst i have seen. alot of decisions were wrongly adjudicated. i recon i could easily recall 8 shockers in 80 overs of cricket.

Had the bloke earlier in the season and he was top-notch. After hearing about the Aldinga vs Golds game I just figured he had a shocker. Maybe that good game was the exception to the norm? Good to see great sportsmanship throughout the league with so many batsmen 'walking' after smashing 'em through to the keeper!

Few interesting results on the weekend, it's safe to say that with only 4 rounds to go it could still be any team taking home the shield . It seems like many of the teams are relying on 1 or 2 players e.g "no peek, no Willunga" will these players be able to continue to fire up to, and including finals. Surely some due to fail soon.

good point there jp a few sides are relying on 1 or 2 players to carry the side i mean take a look at goolwa theyve got so many names to carry them souldnt they be flirting with the top of the ladder rather a couple games off bottom??? maroons this week will help the cause and then week after got elliot what are your chances of stringing a couple wins together? do they need to win the rest to make finals?? a loss would certainly see the magpies banished from finals this year?? good to see who will play finals cricket any suggestions for who will be in the four?? on the other hand elliot has a hard run into finals with vale, goolwa, enc bay and maroons what are the chances of elliot taking the spoils this year? been a suprise packet this year tipping the dark horse for sure!

Could be a different Compass Gold side this week with the possibility of a couple of very handy players returning...

I'm most certainly not a fan of the port elliot cricket club, but how can people continue to tip against them when they are the top side. Surely there comes a point when people realise they are no longer a b grade side. Is it possible that is why the club is doing so well, is because teams going into games against port elliott complacently. Having said that this weeks result will be good insight into finals, in my opinion.

most of our guys walk. i walk, and have done sevrall times when i was going to be given not out. but saturday was something different. after having some very obvious decisions go against us and one where one batsman didnt walk, then having eddie given out lbw after batting a foot out of his crease, playing forward, and being hit on the thigh pad was a joke.

will be good to go up against brice this week on the turf. the best batsman in the comp on a proper cricket pitch. will be good to watch.

A proper cricket pitch? It's the worse place to bat, in the southern hemisphere.
