yeah i've heard that also! apparenlty a couple of players out of their senior colts team! ... it would be disappointing for compass but may also be an advantage to the club in the long term as i feel that they may realise after their season or two (or more) at meadows they may realise how good a club Mt Compass is!

You just can't walk out of Senior Colts team and expect things to be given too you! Those that hang around and do the hard work get rewarded. The proof is in the pudding. it happens at all clubs! I'm sure there's more to it ... but what ever the excuse ..

I say good luck to the lads, but remember, you can't live of a reputation as a good senior colt footballer! - i look forward to monitoring their journey ....

Does someone know if a guy called Linc Withers has signed with a club in this league. Linc plays and lives in Darwin but flew done each week last yr to play in regional Vic. Heard the rumor he was heading GSFL way this time around. This guy is 35 but the hardest guy at the ball i have seen. Would be a great pick up if true.

Don't know if he has signed as i'm not a poster on these threads, but Lincoln Withers is was one of the best country footballers going around in the vic country.
Obviously unsure about his goings on in twenty10 but i do know he was playing for Kyabram in the strong Goulburn Valley fl the past two seasons i know of. Him and a couple of other 'fly ins' were coming into melbourne on a friday night from darwin, then driving up to the GV every saturday morning.

Over his career, he'd be one of the most decorated country footballers going around - Australia wide !!

STINKING LINKING!!!! great bloke, better footballer, i'm sure a few new midfielders down Yank are thinking how far do i have to travel to get a kick.
As for Micky & his fans he just got back from mad monday (2007 sorry mick) looking forward to moving his fat arse, low lung capacity, inconsistent delivery, fumbling hands into what should be a very close tight season.Micky's tip is Victor big improver's (with big Lukey Ellias having his 1st beer bought for him down @ the Roos). Also watch out for the mighty "red shoed roosters" if they cant improve after last years gallant effort there kidding themselves. The big mover will be the Creek!!!! all the way down to the bottom........................$$$$$$$ talks bullsh#ts walks great blokes, great oval, great partners, even great footballers, just cant get the results.Lookout for the Tigers!!! they have recruited the best midfield the league has seen for decades (until Lincoln gets his hands on them). As for the others ?? is a good midfielder judged by how many possession he gets or how many his opponent gets????put a gun against a gun and both will get best on?Goolwa seem to put there best against the best and seem to loose by X amount but yet "he" gets BOG every time? come figure.

As he was a contracted player for 2010, GPE have been paid out by his new club, plus some.

White is great mates with Simon Dennis, and i believe Alby helped with his decision to leave. His departure frees up 4 points and dollars to spend on a younger, more agile full forward, possibly a Trev Rigney who would be a better fit for the young Magpies side.

So is Simon 'Alby' Dennis still having a kick these days???

He did an achilles tendon about round 5 or 6 in 2009 and was on crutches for much of the year.
I would expect that he would have hung up the boots and call it a day. He can concentrate on coaching the talented young Goolwa/ Pt Elliot side.

Totally off footy Micky (i know theres a GSCA site) but i heard the Willunga C2 cricket side are in total disaray due to nothing less than poor leadership & a slide from the top is not far away. Can you confirm this Micky?

i wouldnt get to excited at yank, heard they have recruited an old bay recruit Pete Zwar? he came to the bay under bass with a great reputation, think he played 2 a grade games and then the rest in the b grade. I wouldnt be throwing the cash that they apparently are at him, unless he has improved dramatically over the past couple of years.
