Not only delay me finishing it, but delay the start of it

once again, Smiths captaincy was rather good IMO. He looked positive the entire team. He got his team back up. He made some really good moves in the final stages, such as Morkel back into the attack, swapping Harris ends and bringing Duminy on who chimed in with 2.

And to think, he wasnt actually out in the second dig as it was a no-ball. Superstar!

Another great finish to a test match.

Well batted Ian Bell.

Played the inning they needed when the pressure was on and most likely saved the game for England.

Another great test match.

Yes he did bat well. Lack of concentration in the end tho nearly cost his side victory!

Without him and Collingwood, they were struggling big time!

Stuart Broad and James Anderson, the two England bowlers at the centre of the recent ball-tampering controversy, have steadfastly defended their actions during the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

TV pictures showed Broad standing on the ball while Anderson was seen picking at the leather which led South Africa to "raise concerns" about the condition of the ball. However, the home side didn't take their complaint forward to official levels which prompted Andrew Strauss to call it "malicious" and England coach Andy Flower said if they'd had a problem it should have been raised in the formal way.

Broad has now said he took "great offence" at being implicated by the South Africans and wasn't impressed with the way they announced their concerns through a press conference

The pressure is growing on Paul Harris after his disappointing display in the second innings in Cape Town, where South Africa ended one wicket short of victory for the second time in the series. The selectors have called Imran Tahir, the uncapped legspinner, into the squad for the final Test at the Wanderers and while he is unlikely to play, it is a shot across the bows for Harris.

Wayne Parnell is in line for his Test debut in South Africa's must-win final Test against England at the Wanderers next Thursday, after being named in a 15-man squad that also includes the 30-year-old former Pakistan A legspinner, Imran Tahir. De Wet, however, has been struggling with a back injury that required an injection on the final day at Cape Town. He was noticeably down on pace throughout his last-day spell, and his place in the squad will depend on the outcome of a scan. Makhaya Ntini was another name in the frame for a last hurrah, but his latest omission has all but confirmed his international retirement.

Squad Graeme Smith (capt), Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher, AB de Villiers, Friedel de Wet, JP Duminy, Paul Harris, Jacques Kallis, Ryan McLaren, Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Alviro Petersen, Ashwell Prince, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir

England in a spot of trouble in their first innings of the final test, Cook has just gone lbw (:O!) to Morkel, leaving them 4/39 after 10 overs. They reviewed the decision, it looked very close for a no-ball shout, and the England dressing room looked shocked when the decision remained out. "grassed it" Strauss should cop it on the chin I reckon. ;)

EG won the toss and batted
EG 4/43
STRAUSS out first ball of the day C AMLA B SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTEYN
An amazing catch at short leg
Trott, KP both out quickly
COOKs disMissAL very controversial
LBW
COOK took the referral
The decision correct, clearly out LBW to MORKEL
B
U
T
Replays showed Morkels delivery to appear as a no ball as his foot may not have been behind the line
COOK was still given out much to the chagrin of the English dressing room
KP was disgusted
BROAD threw his arms in the air in bewilderment
The other player STRAUSS ? left the rooms in disgust

The Wanderers pitch is a fast bouncy one, great to see

TROTT
Also great for the game of cricket was the early disMissAL of Trott
SA will be relieved he was out early, as now should get thier quota of overs in 4 the day ....

I can't believe that catch off the opening ball of the Test, great work to be that alert from ball one. Hopefully they can knock them over cheaply.

KP fails again which is always great and Strauss' reaction to Cook's dismissal was great, he hasn't had the best Test so far.

Its not just when you watch ;)

Has scores of 0, 6, 7 in his last three innings

Has scored only 1 hundred in his last 20 Test innings, although his average in this period has dropped only from 50.6to 48.5
