The above quote from the HFL Central Div thread, must have been a bit more on offer over that way eh!

Just looking at the current premiers poll on the Div 1 thread, since it appears it's a 2 horse race, what about naming the 2 clubs you think will get relegated.
Have a crack and see if it's as "cut & dried" as the premiership poll.

Thinkin PT Districts & SHOC at this stage, gotta be honest, would like to see Gaza in that area by the end of the year though.

i had heard that Gaza had him 'on the dotted line'. I know its only amateur league, but a contract is still a contract. must have had an 'out' clause. "If i get a better offer i'm out!"

Does a contract signed in Amatuer league really have any more worth than the paper it is written on? What are a clubs options if a player breaks contract and signs in another league or even the same league? Would have thought a club wouldnt or couldnt afford to get a lawyer involved?

The contracts are SANFL standard contracts. Within SA the losing club can refuse to clear them and it will hold up - I know of a case where this occurred. Presumably you would expect that across borders that all affilliated leagues would honour the same rule.

I'm only quoting what is written on the HFL thread as I said, he has been linked to around 259 clubs so far so what's another one gonna hurt.
I don't think that new contracts are binding until Feb anyway, but I'll stand corrected. Would you really want him playing if he doesn't want to be there???
I do know what his original requirements were and they would have been very challenging for any SAAFL or country SA club, so I guess if someone has come up with something close then he's done the PH trick and vamoosed back to Victoria.
He's been selected in the Hills Cricket Ass team to play this month's country carnival I do know that.

Relegation : SHOC + Broadies.
With a couple of other teams nervously in the mix until round 18 in a very simular situation to 2009.
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

I don't think 2010 is going to be anywhere near as close as 2009.
