What bait were you using?

I'm thinking about heading down tonight.... Jetties would be packed though, so better to try off beach itself.

Tube worms to begin with but the $7.50 bag from the tackle shop proved to be less than good value as half of it was trash. Then used some whitebait and prawns, the whitebait seeming to work the best.

Went just South of Fort Glanville where you sort of drive up-hill to park at Semaphore / Tennyson beach. Perfect conditions as at sun up the tide was coming in.

Yeah tube worms would be easily the best for whiting but you can get burnt from the tackle shops...

I got a boat, but havent used it in 5 years!! So slack, just needs a new steering cable!

Never been out fishing off local waters, what can I expect to catch tomorrow (don't say sharks )

Went to largs jetty this morning.

Got 5 tasty yellowfin whiting. Not big fish, but I'm happy

Seems I'm the only one not to land a fish in this warm weather.I did lose 2 undersized Bream .Plus there were two schools of something swimming the beach I was fishing.Whatever they were they liked a moving popper fly but I lost two of them as well !!

Worms mate. It's a patience game with them, make sure you take a chair. No bites for what seemed ages (was bout an hour) then I got a double header, then another straight away. The other 2 came about half an hour later.

Well the good news was I arrived home with 34 Bluey's and 26 Garfish with 4 squid as a side dish. Went off North Haven about 2k's out and we were on the water by 5. Home by 9:30. Nice.

Micky, having not fished at all for over 2 years, I was just happy to catch 1 thing...

After about 4 hours on the water, we caught heaps of puffer fish, a couple of snook, some undersized whiting and some really good flat head, including my biggest catch of a 50cm flatty.

Was just happy to catch something like I said, can't wait to go again now !!!

Well done Phil I have yet to catch a snook on anything let alone a Fly.
whiting I am looking forward to the day I land one on a fly plenty on bait.
Puffers caught enough of those and undersized Flatties .
No weedy whiting ?

But to me a fish is a fish or a victory
I think yesterday I lost a couple of garfish and did lose some small bream

All that seemed to be around was crabs! I wanted to try the jetties but the beaches were too packed...
