However, I would've thought had Hogarth not won the Under 21 again, Quast would have made a good case to claim the award.

Yeah Meneghetti from Mypo is another notible mention.

S Braun,Quast and Hogarth would all be worthy of being called the best junior player in the RMFL.

The thing is mate, altho its a seperate award, it based purely on Mail medal votes, & as we all know, full backs & back pockets get very little of those. Hogarth is a solid player, but not a star.

Okay, every thing is open to different opinions, he was only refered to as "the best young player in the leauge" due to the last couple of Best Under 21 awards... didn't say he sets the world of fire, he is only 19.

It was just for the purpose of my list of locals Tailem are retaining, and I was giving a bit of info on each.

As for the award being based on Mail Medal votes, does that too mean the Best Defender award also go to the backman with the highest vote count I wonder??

Heard a rumor that Tyrone Hill is headed back over the border & wont be playing at Jervois this year... massive blow if true. Can anyone confirm this?

That will be a significant loss for Tailem if Sumner is going as well.

 Thats a big loss for both clubs but more so for the mighty bluds. I also heard that Tylor Robinson will also be a Sturt u/18's this year. He was a very good player for them last year, so another big loss if true.

I've heard this too. Apparently Tyron has signed and Michael Sumner is following. Strange what goes around though. At one stage according to people at both clubs, the boys were signed as sealed...

Big blow for Jervois, I assumed Tyron would certainly play for the Bluds, with the rumors he signed there, with his move back to SA and with his job with the new Jervois coach as his boss...

And as for Michael, that's a loss for the Eagles. The lad has never reached his potential due to injury. A fit Sumner could be all sorts.

Are these lads mates or was Michael targeted by the club?

 Brock had a bit of a break through year in 09, became an A grade player. Had a purple patch mid season before getting injured, another young lad lad that will be missed, good bloke too.

Good question. What recruits do Jervois have for this coming season? Anyone know?

My mail is that Billing doesn't like recruiting and is aiming as young and local as possible, which isn't such a horrible idea, but surely Jervios acknowledged that there success over the last decade was due to some really solid recruiting connections.

Having said that, there numbers at training have been good by all reports, so there's a positive so early into preseason.
