Smith is a star. That quick hundred in Perth to begin the run chase was a classic!
The thing I like about him is his adaptability. Can go berserk from ball one in T20 or one dayers (think SA chasing down 434 that night) or can shut up shop when needed.

LOL kidding right NFC?

Smith overrated??

He makes runs when it counts. He is a leader of men. He is an absolute superstar IMO.

Who would it be? Maybe a young Mitch Marsh in three years. Leadership qualities (captaining the U/19 World Cup side). Bloke can play! Plus iv backed in him to captain Australia in the future already

As i mentioned Khawaja would be my choice. Perhaps Mitch Marsh but at 17? there is still a lot of work for him to do.

i think the fact he is 17 is why he would be the only possibility as he is already exposed to first class cricket and would have been for 5 years by age 22 but i still dont think it will happen

Yep Smith is a gun.

Fair enough, i hadn't thought of it like that. As you say it's very unlikely to happen though.

SA 291
EG 273
SA 3/354

Looks like Stausses decision to win the toss and put the opposition in is being vindicated

Good to see Cook starting to hit some form again.

0/91

Cook 49*
Strauss 40*

Now if England can get through unscathed tonight it would make a very interesting days play tomorrow.

Its not good to see any pom hit form IMO ;)

I was hoping for a score of around 100 that the Poms made.

Aslong as the Saffers win and Pietersen and Bell get quackas im happy ;)

Interesting days play tomorrow indeed it will be tho if they are unscathed tonight

Is anyone else watching this at the moment? Steyn is bowling way too well to get a wicket presently! Collingwood has no idea! No danger of anyone over-rating Steyn methinks! If only he grew up in the outback of Australia instead of the game parks of South Africa! Sigh...

Steyn is bowling extremely well at present.

If only they were trying to hit the ball and score, they may edge a ball or two!

And yet after all that, they make it to tea still 5 down. Bell and Collingwood still in. 31 overs left today, I think the Poms are just about safe... (Come on reverse psychology!)
