Patsy Biscoe.

As a wee tacker I used to nag my parents to put on a Patsy Biscoe record and I'd spend the next 40 minutes jumping around the lounge room.

I recently borrowed the Patsy records from my old man, recorded them as MP3s and burnt them to a CD. Played it to my kids, who both went absolutely mental. The elder Pseudomite (4.5 years) did all the actions in the songs as appropriate, while the younger Pseudomite (2 years) simply tore around and around a chair in the lounge at high speed, laughing all the time.

Patsy Biscoe: absolutely timeless 8)

Le Cornus.

The missus recently had one of those female hormonal turns which could be cured only by shopping for furniture. So me & the kids were driven into the furniture shop precinct around Keswick & Mile End and dragged through several boutiques. Finally ended up in Le Cornus, shortly before the kids usual lunchtime, and they were starting to get antsy. A dual tantrum was on its way; it was only a matter of time...

Then we encountered the lass walking through LeCornus who was dispensing packets of chips to the youngsters and cans of Coke to the parents. SAVED! 8)

Tell me about it

I have a business idea for a shop where women can brouse and purchase to their heart's content and then leave the bags at the door as they walk out. It would have a realistic swipe machines and a special shiny credit card to swipe, swipe, swipe. Oh the joy.

I charge say $20 per hour for the shopping experience. They get their fix, hubby says thank god that saved us $400 and I get $20 per person per hour.

The shop would be called "Retail Therapy".

Make sure you discount everything to help them justify their (pretend) purchases. I know those shoes were $400, but usually they're $900 ... a bargain!

I had to do it when I had the snip ... took ages.

Then I did it again after a couple of weeks to surprise the missus (what was I thinking) but she couldn't stop pissing herself laughing ... Jeez women can be cruel. Have never done it since and will never do it again!
