Why? He was well forward and the ball was on the rise.

Ian Chappell makes a great point about the system creating doubt in the umpire's mind.

Agree, overturning an umpire's decision based on Hawkeye suggesting the ball would be missing by such a small margin just doesn't sit well with me. As far as i'm concerned the umpire made the right decsion straight away and North should be sitting in the dressing rooms right now.

I agree with Chappelli on this one. The technology has robbed Pakistan of a wicket there.

Many of us agree with Chappelli but now he's going to carp on about it for the entire current stint and you can count on it being raised again today and at least once more before the end of the Test match.

LET'S PLAY CHAPPELLI BINGO!

Think Michael Slater just summed it up totally, it is only the predicted path of the ball, not the actual path

Just as everyone complaining about it has also done.
The human mind is prone to predictive error.

I don't think that's the point. If you are umpiring, and give what you think to be a plum LBW decision, then it is overturned, how would you be thinking about the next one?

I think Doctrove has improved enormously and on the whole the umpiring this summer has been pretty good. Umpire Gould was most impressive but I believe that Bowden probably should have asserted himself more when things started heating up in the Wild West (everyone goes mad over there).

Most memorable moment of the decade.

Let me guess what will be at least in the top 5.

Stephen Rodger Waugh last ball century.

I know I'm right. ;)
