As I understand the current situation
They cant start play because the outfield is too damp ?
The worry is the ball will become waterlogged ?

COMMON SENSE
If thats the only prob, lets give the faithful crowd some cricket
The umpires and the 2 captains can come to a mutual agreement b4 the toss
The usuage of multiple cricket balls during the innings
Change the ball every 20- 30 overs if neccessary with balls of similar usage

Why not ?

They have had a change of balls in limited overs games in the past

Mal,

The laws of cricket allow for a change of cricket ball if it becomes unfit for play. That has always been the case.

Pakistan have alot better attack for this test even though Armeer is missing, reckon on a green top, with plenty of cloud cover we could be in for some pretty interesting cricket today, lets see if the Pakistani's can catch today

Nope.

Seriously how the hell can you play cricket for so long and not learn how to catch a ball? Pakistan really are quite pathetic.

Shocking shot by Hughes though.

Straight forward gully catches should be taken in any level of cricket, let alone the Test arena. That was a shocker, great let off for Hughes.

Was Sami injured for the 1st Test? If he wasn't, how in hell was Rauf preferred to him?

Not saying Rauf is any better, but Sami averages over 50 which is pretty poor.
Good first up over by Sami though.

Yeah, I should reserve judgement, but he looks a much better bowler. Talk about nerves, Hughes needs to calm himself a little.
