I might see if I can get up there aswell instead of going to Carlton v Richmond the next week.

It would be nice if the venues were next to the games.

I had a look at the official 2010 Match Program publication released by the SANFL yesterday and within it, regarding trial game venues it states the following:

First named team to arrange venue and advise the SANFL and umpiring department

Obviously this gives clubs that have cricket played at their home grounds time to arrange alternate venues like when Sturt and Norwood played in Mt Barker last year if I remember correctly.

I'm not sure if Norwood will have the Parade available for trial games with the ground being used for baseball and of course Prospect, Woodville and Glenelg Oval have cricket played on them.

I would love to make the trip down for it. But the chances are very slim.

For those that aren't really enjoying the off season, or the cricket, and can't wait for their fix of SANFL...

Only 57 days until the first official trial game between South and the Eagles...

BRING IT ON !!!

Agreed gentlemen !
Even though this is only a trial game, I reckon Ronnie will be keen as mustard to prove
himself to the South faithful by sticking it up his old club.
Of course, the new guard at Oval Avenue will probably be just as keen to give Ron's boys
a thorough spanking.
I live south of town, so I think I'll wander down for a look at this one.
From an emotional perspective this encounter has all the ingredients for potential fireworks.
And anyway, I can't stand the footy withdrawal symptoms any longer !

There will be more than a few of the old boys at Oval AVE that will wanna show Ron what he's left behind .
Nice marketing ploy SANFL might have been better round 1 but meh.

"GODS" Eagles Army may or should I say will come out in force!!!

Why not sell something like it is(works for Cena in the wrestling and he is boring) .Bring some fans through the Gate south sell an extra few snags or bottles of Coke packets of chips etc .
Starved footy fans can see a game of footy where most if not all the players are trying to stake a claim on a league spot.
As I understand it Eagles players will be picked in the league team if they have earned that spot in 2010.something of a change at oval ave ;)

I'd rather not undermine the ANZAC holiday Monday clash at Noarlunga - that's when proving yourself counts.

I wouldn't go any of those ways, straight down taps, down Brighton, down Londsdale Highway, there in 30 mins.

90 minutes? Crikey, I used to make that trip in 20 with 50,000 Crows supporters leaving Footy Pk and going through the back way. :?
I could do that trip by bike in half an hour!

Well, at 40kms, in 20 minutes that's an average speed of about 120kmh, 30 minutes makes it an average of 80kmh.

That's with green lights all the way ;)
