Pubs who cater poorly for their patrons;

Went to a New years Eve gig at a pub just off Melbourne St (Used to be a radio station in Adelaide with the same initials, 5*A) where my DIL's band were playing and what do you think happened?

At 10.40pm precisely, they ran out of Stubbys of Light Beer. Since that's all I drink nowadays, I was mortified when the bar bloke told me and then fronted up with a couple that must have been sitting in the sun in the carpark all day and expected me to pay for them.

Then at midnight, just to add insult to injury, they ran out of Pure Blonde & started dishing up warm draught keg beer.

Never again will I step into that joint was my very first New Years resolution.

Have barely watched any cricket this season due to work being a bastard, even worked Boxing day and the Monday after. Before driving to Melbourne tomorrow I had booked today as my one day I can sit down and watch some test match cricket (had even kept my last couple of Xmas Crownies to enjoy the experience).

WTF!?

Oh, not always as a patient. At least three of the times were due to my partner's footy accidents - i.e. smashing his ear to pieces on a goalpost. Then back to emergency a week later to have the stitches redone after he got hit by a ball at training.

Other things that s**t me - cars that go at 60km/h in the 100 zone on the Onka Valley tourist drive.
